We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Cybersecurity Specialist.

Business: Cybersecurity 

Principal responsibilities

• Budget & People – This role will manage a small team of direct reports.
• Relationships - Key relationships include other Cybersecurity Lines of Defence, Middleware Technology teams, and Architecture and extends to peers across regions, other Global Businesses/Global Functions and Security Function heads and generally up to 2 level higher in the organisation, as well audit, regulators and key government agencies and security forums. Will also include external relationships with vendors, acting as a subject matter expert.
• Regulatory & Risk Management - Working closely with Cybersecurity Functions and peers across the Technology function to deliver sustainable results, build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders (risk, audit, government agencies, industry forums etc.) to understand the IT/Information Security risk profile, monitor compliance with policies and standards and identify and address any regional or country specific requirements. 
• Strategic input - Providing influence and input to ensure alignment between Cybersecurity and Global Business/Global Function strategic outcomes and business goals.  Uses extensive technical knowledge and experience to solve complex problems and propose implementable solutions, to deliver ongoing improvements in line with business strategy.
• Technology - The role holder will have exceptional knowledge of their technical environment and will have significant influence in setting the way forward in the types of technology they utilise. Forward thinking, making the right decisions based on strategy and the right tooling for the job.

Knowledge & Experience/Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ in-depth experience with multiple middleware technologies from the list of IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM WebSphere Message Queue, IBM WebSphere Portal, IBM HTTP Server, Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, Oracle WebLogic Server, nginx Web Server, node.js JavaScript Web Server.
• Demonstrated experience with middleware platform security.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience leading a technical team.
• Demonstrated understanding of and experience with Center for Internet Security (CIS) benchmarks.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated experience of understanding and meeting the needs of multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
• Customer-centric consultancy approach.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.
• Reliant and adaptive to changing situations, with strong desire to delegate and empower the team.
