We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Actuarial Analyst.

 

Principal responsibilities

To support the manager in delivering one or more actuarial functions for the Group’s insurance entities in Hong Kong, Singapore, and other countries, including:

  • Provide central Prophet modelling and analytical services. Develop and maintain actuarial modelling, workflow streamlining and automation capability, to satisfy business demand from the insurance businesses across the Group.
  • Provide modelling support to other teams, which may require usage of and connection with non-Prophet technologies such as Python, Alteryx, Coherent Spark, Moody’s and SAS etc.
  • Maintain a robust control structure, governance, and documentation standards.
  • Comply with regulatory and internal policy requirements impacting model development and maintenance.
  • Implementation of required governance and controls to satisfy internal Model Risk Policy and SOX (Sarbanes Oxley Act) requirements.

 

Requirements

  • University graduate in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Risk Management, or related discipline.
  • Good spoken and written English, and the ability to Simplified Chinese (written) / Mandarin & Cantonese (verbal) is a plus.
  • Good actuarial technical knowledge of life insurance products, regulation, and reporting regimes.
  • Experience in operating actuarial software Prophet is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
