We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of AVP - DAAI.

Principal responsibilities:

  • We are currently seeking high caliber professionals to join our department as AVP - Data & Analytics and AI.
  • Drive commercialization of advanced analytics-led solutions with appropriate methodology, manage the business application effectively and evaluate the results rigorously.
  • Highly sensitive to state of business and anticipative of business problems and priorities.
  • Explore the data and conduct quantitative analysis to ascertain root cause of business' issues, identifies opportunities and effective targeting for business growth potential.
  • Collaborate and influence a wide range of partners / stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of
  • Explore the latest generative AI (GenAI) technologies and toolkits to identify innovative opportunities that can benefit the company and deliver measurable business value.
  • Ensure timely and quality analytics deliverables to satisfy business needs effectively under the dynamic business environment.
  • Sharing knowledge and good practice, working collaboratively with different parties to create a productive, diverse and supportive working environment.
  • Adhere to HSBC policy, procedures and control requirements applicable to day-to-day working, exceptional and project activities.

 Requirements:

  • University degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in analytics, modeling, and machine learning; or Full stack experience in design, implement,  end-to-end data solution / data platform.
  • Proven track record in project management and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience in mining large-scale datasets to derive actionable insights quickly and effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in analytics, or CRM management. Alternatively, candidates with a strong foundation in full-stack engineering and relevant experience will also be considered highly qualified.
  • Proficiency in programming languages and tools such as Python/R, SQL/BigQuery, Tableau/QlikSense/Looker (Studio), Java/Vue.js/Node.js, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is required.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and presentation skills, coupled with strong business acumen.
  • A strong sense of ownership and a customer-centric mindset to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
