We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of AVP, INVESTIGATIONS, FCI GTT.

 

Principal responsibilities

  • Undertake detailed analysis of the customer relationship, review the escalation reasons to identify any anomalies/risk indicators related to trade-based money laundering and first party lending fraud.
  • Summarize the outcomes of investigation into an interim investigation report of adequate quality and ensuring that observations and recommendations are supported with clear rationale and evidence.
  • Evaluate, identify and promptly escalate any critical anomalies / risk indicators for high exposure cases to senior investigation managers / GTT HK at an early stage.
  • Perform independent analysis within the established process SLAs while ensuring that productivity and quality levels are achieved as per the standards agreed for the process.
  • Ensure that all data requirements (regular MI and ad hoc process information) are accurately updated in a timely manner.
  • Ensue that all issues / problems are effectively investigated and resolved or are appropriately referred with recommendations to senior investigation managers.
  • Create logical investigation findings after analyzing vast volume of information and discuss such with stakeholders in both LoB and Risk in a timely manner for appropriate inputs and risk mitigating actions.
  • Create and submit clear, concise, factual, unbiased, thorough and timely interim investigation reports.
  • Work closely with CMB and CIB, the role holder will act as a subject matter expert in corporate lending fraud and / or Trade Based Fraud and TBML.
  • Identify trade and lending fraud typologies based on the investigations performed and provide improvement in scenarios that help detect early frauds.
  • Liaison, where necessary, with other internal stakeholders such as CMB/CIB, GTS, BFCR, NFR, Risk stewards, FCC etc.
  • Demonstrate current knowledge of GTS and Lending products, systems, policies and procedures as well as FCC policies and procedures so that daily processes are continually implemented in a defect free environment.
  • Ensure that all events / cases are actioned within the stipulated SLA.                 

 

Requirements     

Leadership and Teamwork

  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to manage & engage multiple stakeholders, meet their expectations.
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with various stakeholders including CMB/CIB LoB Relationship Managers (RMs), Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR), SCU, Risk stewards, FCC etc.Functional Knowledge
  • Graduate / Post- Graduate in Business Management, Economics, Commerce, Technology, Mathematics or equivalent is a must
  • Additional qualifications any certifications on Compliance / AML / Fraud related would be an added advantage
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant fields as detailed in below section.
  • Following experience / exposures are highly beneficial but all not essential - corporate lending / relationship management; wholesale credit risk; forensic accounting; trade finance; fraud/ML investigations.
  • Aptitude to work on financial crime cases using intelligence and analytical tools.
  • Ability to maintain control, direction and motivation in an ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to analyse large amounts of data efficiently, draw conclusions on what the data means and actions required.
  • Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills – both verbal and written.
  • The role requires strong GTS, commercial banking, and wholesale lending knowledge.
