The Sales Quality team is a global team within the GPB CCO organisation. The role provides rigorous oversight and supervision of the advice given to clients by Front Office staff (inc. RM, IC, product specialist) ensuring that all advice and documentation meets regulatory and internal policy requirements. The team will help to define the standard of excellence for providing suitable advice which will ensure the right client outcome while mitigating risks to the business from both a regulatory and a litigation perspective.

What you will do:
This is a role within an evolving team. Existing workflows and levels of understanding vary across GPB’s Front Office teams, including Investment Counsellors and Product Specialists, This global function will focus on the establishment of clear quality standards and processes across all the Front Office. This will be done by leveraging established ways of working, adapting them to fit a global structure and rolling them out across all in-scope sites in GPB.
The work will be undertaken in an environment which is continuously subject to changes in legislation, and the jobholder has to ensure they are personally up to date with any complex/technical changes that occur. The jobholder will require sound technical competence across a wide number of areas and will need an excellent business judgement to deal with queries/issues raised by the Front Office.
In this role you will:
- Responsible for assessing and checking the quality of advice evidenced in the documentation received from the Front Office (RM, IC, product specialists). Review documentation to ensure it complies with industry standards, Regulatory requirements and with HSBC local regulation (FIM, Sales Quality Standards)
- Produce monthly Transaction sheets with details of the trade analysed.
- Produce reporting and MI to Sales Quality and wider GPB senior management on the activities undertaken by the Sales Quality team.
- Fraud aspect: Perform investigations on Fraud related cases raised in the mailbox or by Compliance
You should apply if you have:
- Comprehensive knowledge of the financial sector, services, products and regulations
- Capacity to communicate both written and oral English at all levels with confidence
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of HSBC Sales Quality Standards and Sales Procedures and application in a holistic planning approach
- Good knowledge of systems (Avaloq, EDMS) and fluent in Excel.
