The opportunity : Private Equity Senior Officer

The Private Equity Senior Officer is expected to support the activities on Private Equity Funds and all related inherent tasks such as the capital call and distribution bookings, corporate actions and transfers free of payments. The Private Equity Senior Officer will be responsible for communicating, following up and reporting all mandatory and voluntary Corporate Actions events as well as the Private Equity ones (capital calls, distributions, Net Asset Value (NAV) valuations).

What you will do: 
As a Private Equity Senior Officer, they will closely collaborate with other stakeholders such as the credit, client services and tax / legal departments. Furthermore, the Private Equity Senior Officer will oversight other offshore booking centres and provide support to those teams. They will act as a key contact of support to HSBC entities within the group and acts as a product owner for all Corporate Actions and Private Equity related topics.

In this role you will:

  • Manage end-to-end private equity processes from subscription through fund liquidation, including subscriptions and transfers
  • Coordinate capital calls, distributions, corporate events, and stakeholder communications across relevant internal interfaces
  • Review and process pricing and asset valuations accurately, ensuring correct booking and data integrity in core systems
  • Oversee offshore private equity operations, support case resolution, and track timely closure of open items
  • Analyse service issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Respond to internal and external enquiries promptly and precisely, meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and deliver strong customer service
  • Handle Know Your Customer (KYC) / Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requests linked to investments and escalate high-risk items, incidents, or operational difficulties as required
  • Collaborate with team members and business partners, train and back up colleagues to ensure coverage, and take ownership of problem-solving
  • Comply with HSBC values, béhavioral standards, procedures, and guidelines in all interactions and daily processing
  • Support audit activity by maintaining familiarity with audit requirements, participating in reviews, and closing recommendations within deadlines

You should apply if you have:

  • Relevant expertise in the banking industry and the private equity product
  • Fluent in English and French. Any other language would be a plus
  • Computer skills: MS Office
  • Analytical skills and well organized
  • Good communication skills, team player and client oriented
  • Exhibits commitment and resilience, especially when facing stressful situations
  • Polyvalent and fast learner: ability to quickly adapt to multiple tasks and evolving working situations
  • Able to create relationships and channels of communication with key interfaces and stakeholders
