The Client Lifecyle Management Analyst, Quality Assurance will work closely with PBRSG (PBRS - Guernsey Branch) Client Lifecyle Management (CLM) Teams to ensure completion at required quality standards. This role includes an element of coaching and training of Customer Due Diligence (CDD) based on trends from Quality Assurance to maintain compliance, sharing best practices in order to drive improvements in customer service, quality and consistency against standards and frameworks, performing diverse set of controls.

What you will do:
The Client Lifecyle Management Analyst, Quality Assurance will review a sample of completed Onboarding and Periodic Reviews to ensure all areas of risk and financial crime risk are considered by the business and CLM Teams / Relationship Managers and work with them to ensure the correct remedial action taken in line with the Banks’ attitude to risk. The key areas of responsibility are as follows:
- Maintain the quality of the CDD end to end process has been followed correctly for onboarding and existing to bank clients
- Perform controls related to PBRS CLM activities (Tax related control, static data changes etc.)
- Quality check a percentage of finalized cases depending on the risk rating
- Feedback of errors and common trends to CLM, Front Office teams and the Business
- Support the Quality Control Manager by organizing and running of group training sessions to enhance quality results
- Ensure PBRSG CLM due diligence reviews are undertaken to the required quality and detail on a timely basis, Recommending/undertaking further due diligence where required
- Guarantee a conclusion is reached with regards to risk, additional due diligence
- Communicate effectively and have the ability to lead discussions regarding complex queries with Quality function, Compliance, Relationship Management (RM) or Front Office contacts
- Timely and accurate reporting of Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Compliance related Management Information
- Provide support, training and coaching to the PBRS CLM Teams on interpretation of the guidance
- Undertake reviews of extended due diligence to assess risk
- Provide comments and helping the Specialists / Front office to escalate to frontline for agreement and approval
- Perform research via internal and external sources, gather and analyze documentation in accordance with local regulatory
In this role you will:
- Complete quality assurance checks to ensure standards are met and also in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Consider customer impact and business outcomes and act as escalation point for any Quality related concerns
- Build strong network relationships to ensure the delivery of remediation programs are met to a high standard
- Gaurantee that minimum internal and external regulatory requirements are met
- Ensure concerns are highlighted through the correct escalation process
- Support CLM Teams and Front Office in updating Periodic and Event Driven Reviews (PEDRs) and Account opening profiles in accordance with the Group Policy
- Assist CLM Teams and Front Office in producing timely, high quality CDD profiles and address quality issues
- Have a good understanding of the Global Private Banking (GPB) Policy, Line of Business procedures, local regulatory requirements and Desk Instruction Manuels (DIMs)
- Understand and comply with internal control standards with no breaches of regulatory requirements complete
- Support Production teams to implement changes to the GPB policies effectively
- Work collaboratively across the organization – ensuring first-class relationships with Chief Operating Office (COO), the Front Office, HOST, Financial Crime Compliance (FCC), Legal and the local leadership team
- Develop a network of contacts throughout the private bank to ensure advice and guidance is accurate
- Challenge own knowledge to develop continuous learning on and off the job
- Operate with flexibility and adaptation according to workload variations
- Take personal accountability for keeping their risk knowledge up to date and completes mandatory learning promptly
- Resolve all identified issues promptly and escalate as appropriate to ensure timely awareness of any material concerns
- Adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC and regulatory standards, policies and practices, escalating control weaknesses
- Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators

- Minimum of a Business Administration degree or relevant work experience
- Fluent in English and French both written and spoken
- International profile with practice in another countries and multi-cultural experience is a plus
