The opportunity : Business Manager

The job holder will be responsible for managing, analyzing and prioritizing of all requests coming to HSBC Private Banking Rebalancing Approval mailbox. The role performs a qualitative review of requests, coordinates timely feedback to Front Office, and escalates matters to Senior Management where required, including any potential complaints or incidents.

What you will do: 

Manage, analyze, and prioritize all requests received via the Private Banking Rebalancing Approval mailbox. Each request is reviewed through a qualitative assessment and, where required, escalated and submitted to Senior Management.

  • Reviewing and analyzing all requests received in the rebalancing mailbox.
  • Validating that the information provided is accurate, complete, and sufficient to support assessment and decision-making.
  • Escalating cases to Senior Management when required.
  • Tracking requests end-to-end to ensure timely feedback is provided to Front Office.

 

In this role you will:

  • Support Front Office on their request to Private Banking rebalancing approvals.
  • Support Management to ensure forms /requests received are accurate and sufficient level of information is provided to allow them assessing them.
  • Escalate to Head of Client Lifecyle Management and/or Business Management any potential complaints, incidents.
  • Monitor any potential actions required by Management.
  • Work closely with first and second line of defense on these requests.
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards.
  • Regular contact with all Front Office teams and Senior Managers across functions.
  • Being the point of contact for various queries to Front Office and acting on those immediately.
  • Build and maintain positive and productive working relationships with key stakeholders across Private Banking.
  • Always demonstrate HSBC values and build strong teamwork across the business.
  • Ensure that any data input is dealt with in a timely manner and in correct and consistent format.
  • Achieve compliance with all Group Standards, manuals and guidelines.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between various departments. 


You should apply if you have:

  • English fluency, written and spoken. 
  • French knowledge would be a plus.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Good networking skills.
  • Highly structured, organized and pro-active personality with ability to work under pressure in a matrix environment.
  • Independent, pro-active and flexible way of working.
  • Discretion as access to sensitive information.
  • Strong business knowledge and orientation.
  • Good knowledge of risk management and controls.
  • Proven proficiency in in Business Management or Front Office role.
  • University degree is preferred.
