We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Regulatory Reporting Manager.
Principal responsibilities
- Ensure the submission of various HKMA banking returns for Hong Kong, region and overseas branches in accordance with the relevant requirements within the required deadlines
- Improve process, controls, basis of preparation for HKMA regulatory reporting, with compliance on control standards
- Interact with various stakeholders, including Risk, IT, Business, internal and external auditors in relation to clarification and questions of reporting processes and controls
- Identity, raise and resolve the issues identified during the reporting processes in accordance with the relevant HSBC standards and policies
- Provide supports to address ad-hoc requests from various stakeholders and regulators in a professional way
- Stay abreast with changes of regulatory requirements, and participate in implementation of new reporting requirements
- Support Change agenda, such as process automation and control uplift exercises
Requirements
- University degree and professionally qualified accountant with post-qualified experience including experience of regulatory reporting in the financial services sector
- Excellent knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements
- Experience in dealing with process re-engineering and system change
- Strong technical skills including working knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory reporting requirements in the context of both Hong Kong and International
- Strong ability to analyze business transactions and identify key risk and mitigating controls
- Independent and able to work under pressure to tight timeframes with multiple deliverables
- Good written and spoken communication skills in English
Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
