We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Head of Luxembourg Platforms.

HSBC Asset Management (“AM”) Product Group is responsible for defining Product direction and evolution to enable business development across all key asset classes.  This includes ideation, design, profitability, development & management of existing and future Product and product trends.

You’ll have responsibility for Product platforms & Fund companies domiciled in Luxembourg.  This will ensure optimisation of structures for investors, clients and the business and meet all Product defined responsibilities covering meeting regulation and regulatory requirements associated with the platforms and their distribution.  As an HSBC employee in the UK, you’ll have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. In this role you’ll:

  • Manage the requirements of Fund Umbrellas of Alternative Funds domiciled in Luxembourg and includes, regulatory filing, reviews of language for any update requirements at the umbrella level &/or sub-funds - such as tax language, housekeeping updates etc
  • Ensuring all product documentation and product process adheres to regulatory requirements (existing and upcoming)
  • Proactively manage the relationship (commercially and professionally) with service providers including external legal counsel, registration agents and other fund service providers
  • Build strong relationships with internal (Sales, Investment, Risk & Compliance, Product functions) and external (regulators, legal, administrators, auditors, registration agents, client and servicing entities) stakeholders
  • Lead a team with a clear direction and purpose whilst demonstrating HSBC’s cultural values

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Demonstrate the relevant level of knowledgeable and experience of Fund Umbrellas of Asset Management Alternative funds
  • Be a ‘Regulation Subject Matter Expert’ across UCITS, SFDR, MIFID regimes
  • Direct leadership experience of managing a team
  • High level of commercial awareness to be able to work with complex financial investment information
  • Possess excellent stakeholder management skills, coupled with a professional confidence that engender the view of a ‘Trusted Partner’ across a varied internal and external audience
  • Demonstrate really good time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to managing multiple tasks often with conflicting priorities
