We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Assistant Category Manager Resourcing and Consultancy.

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Support Sourcing Activities: Coordinate and contribute to sourcing initiatives by assisting with requirements gathering, commercial analysis, supplier engagement, and internal approval processes.
  • Support Category Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders to shape and execute procurement strategies that align with business goals.
  • Influence Commercial Outcomes: Provide commercial insight and support to stakeholders—including senior executives—to enable informed procurement decisions.
  • Build Strategic Relationships: Manage and maintain effective relationships across a complex stakeholder network in a dynamic, global business environment.
  • Monitor Supplier Markets: Stay ahead of market shifts and supplier changes to identify opportunities for innovation, cost savings, and risk mitigation.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

 

  • Procurement & Sourcing Experience: Demonstrated background in strategic sourcing, ideally within the Resourcing & Consultancy category.
  • Strong Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to support commercial and contractual negotiations to deliver business value.
  • Stakeholder Management: Confidence in engaging and influencing stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Commercial Acumen: A good understanding of supplier dynamics, especially where suppliers are also customers, and the ability to use this insight to support business goals.
  • Results-Driven Mindset: Able to manage multiple priorities, ensure compliance, and contribute to achieving category savings targets.
