We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of People & Internal Comms Audit Manager.

 

Global Internal Audit (GIA) provides independent and objective assurance to management and the risk and audit committees as to whether the framework of risk management, control, and governance processes, is adequate and functioning.

In this role you will:

 

•Assist in the consistent delivery of audit work across the People and Internal Communications Audit Team.

•Engage and provide strategic advice to internal stakeholders by utilising knowledge of the business and the governance, risk and regulatory frameworks.

•Support the Senior Manager with internal and external stakeholders to deliver all key deliverables to high standards.

•Ensure the Audit Plan is delivered and working to tight deadlines.

•Contribute to wider development of GIA, through collaborating with other audit teams, developing and implementing data analytics, agile techniques and other innovations to enable more efficient and effective delivery.

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

 

•Prior experience of working within an Audit role within a large organisation is desirable, however applicants who have relevant experience from other disciplines may be considered.

•Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment, handling multiple deliverables within a considered and structured work plan.

•Adept in dealing with senior stakeholders, an expert in negotiating challenge and creating strong levels of buy-in, in order to add value and enhance risk management.

•Strong managerial, written and verbal communication skills, analytical, problem solving, organisational, decision-making and interpersonal skills.

•Ability to exercise discretion, work independently within broad guidelines, tactfully handle sensitive and confidential data and complete assignments timely.

 

This role is based in Edinburgh, Hybrid.
