Job description
This function leads, develops, and manages corporate governance throughout the Group. As principal advisors to the boards of directors on corporate governance matters, the team also holds responsibility for establishing and managing stock exchange listings; directing and managing shareholder meetings and equity raisings, and representing Group interests in the development of laws and regulations.
Role Overview:
HSBC Global Markets is looking for a Trading Associate / Vice President to join our Global Markets team. This is a front-office role focused on timely, accurate trade execution, consistent pricing and market making, and active risk management within agreed limits.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Provide timely and accurate execution of trades for the Bank’s targeted clients in assigned area.
- Provide pricing to sales force and clients in line with the Bank’s policies.
- Effectively maintain various risk positions whilst adhering to the Bank’s risk appetite.
- Achieve revenue, hit ratio and return targets set by management.
- Manage the firm's cash position, fixed income, and trading risks under supervision and as assigned in compliance with all applicable regulations within a given business area Reviews daily and/or monthly reports, as assigned.
- Covering other desks as required.
- Ensure that all transactions deliver fair outcomes for our customers and do not disrupt the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets; and are in line with the HSBC Code of Conduct.
- Successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required.
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics/finance/finance related Field.
- ACI dealing certificate will be an advantage.
- Solid understanding of underlying products and market mechanisms.
- Sound understanding of mathematics.
- Maturity in handling pressured and adverse situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with multiple parties (team, other trading desks, Sales, middle office, back office).
- Strong teamwork abilities and effective cross-function collaboration.
