The Role 

 

In this role you will be responsible for delivering regulatory reporting change and data initiatives in a controlled and sustainable manner. You will be required to combine strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, data sourcing, and change to deliver solutions that strengthen the regulatory control environment and minimise risk in the reporting processes.

 

Furthermore, in this role you will be responsible for:

 

  • Delivering regulatory change in a controlled and sustainable manner, ensuring compliance with local, regional, and Group regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining a clear understanding of regulatory frameworks and source the necessary data required to deliver accurate and timely regulatory reporting solutions.
  • Leading the design, testing, and implementation of data, calculation, and reporting enhancements that minimise operational risk and improve control effectiveness.
  • Continuously reviewing and strengthening the regulatory control environment by identifying risks, reducing manual inputs, automating data sourcing, and implementing strategic remediation.
  • Provide oversight of testing to ensure reporting solutions meet regulatory requirements and control standards.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders (UAE, Region, and Group CFO/CRO, Lines of Business, Risk, Regulators, and External Auditors) to ensure transparency, compliance, and governance across all reporting outcomes.
  • Support BAU teams in embedding regulatory change initiatives into day-to-day processes, ensuring controls and risk management practices are consistently applied.

 

In order to apply for this role , you are required to have the following:

 

  • Graduation degree is required to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit.
  • 10 years plus experience working with in financial services sector is required.
  • Extensive experience working on regulatory reporting for Financial Services in the UAE is required. 
  • Excellent system skills, such as Tableau/SMARBL/RCT/QlikSense/Alteryx to quickly understand reporting tools and identify improvement opportunities is essential. 
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex regulatory requirements in the UAE.
  • Ability to identify and articulate data requirements required for regulatory reporting is required. 
  • A strong focus on controls implementation and maintenance and risk reduction
  • A growth mind-set focussed on delivering effective and efficient solutions for the good of the Bank.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to articulate the case for risk management and change to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent analysis skills, with ability to structure problems and find solutions.
  • Ability understand and interpret code, such as SQL, Python. Beneficial
