Some careers grow faster than others.

If you’re looking for a career where you can make a real impression, join HSBC and discover how valued you’ll be.

Why HSBC

HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world. Guided by our purpose of opening up a world of opportunity, our ambition is to become the world’s most trusted bank globally, putting customers at the heart of everything we do.

The Opportunity

This role sits within Compliance Analytics in Global Risk & Compliance supporting the prevention and mitigation of financial crime and regulatory compliance risks.

You’ll represent Compliance Analytics across Transaction Monitoring Analytics and Screening Analytics for MENAT Financial Crime Detection, Risk & Compliance with a primary focus on Transaction Monitoring Analytics.

The role combines hands-on analytics delivery with stakeholder engagement across regional, local and global teams drawing on global resources and a small regional capability for bespoke needs.

You’ll support model risk management for Compliance Models used in the region and help ensure they remain fit-for-purpose with clear governance and performance oversight.

Success means delivering high-quality analytics and management indicators on agreed timelines while strengthening data quality, model performance and control standards. You’ll also help regional teams navigate regulatory expectations with clear documentation and effective communication of risks and issues.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop subject matter expertise in the design, development and maintenance of compliance analytics and models used across the region
  • Deliver analytics work across data quality analysis, trend analysis, segmentation and parameter setting for Transaction Monitoring
  • Execute data implementation checks and quality assurance to support reliable model deployment and outcomes
  • Create statistical models and data attestation frameworks to strengthen model oversight and evidence-based decisions
  • Build dashboards and management indicators using visualisation techniques to support risk-based decisions by Compliance and the Business
  • Partner with regional business, risk and compliance leaders to document, communicate and manage impacts of model risks and issues
  • Coordinate with IT, Product Management and Transformation to support model development, implementation and resolution of model-related issues
  • Support three lines of defence reviews and regulator engagements to explain compliance models used in the region when required

What we're looking for

  • A full-time graduation degree of at least three years is essential for obtaining a UAE visa and work permit. For degrees obtained outside the UAE, valid attestations and equivalency are also mandatory
  • 1- 2 years experience in the application of statistical concepts and or machine learning models to solve complex business problems in a regulated or risk-focused context
  • Use Python and SQL or HQL to build, test and maintain analytics solutions with accuracy and quality
  • Interpret data using established statistical techniques and translate findings into clear insights and actions
  • Produce high-quality analysis under agreed timelines while managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities
  • Communicate quantitative topics clearly in writing, in presentations and in discussions with senior stakeholders
  • Partner effectively with stakeholders across functions and geographies to deliver outcomes through global and regional capabilities
  • Apply sound judgement and structured problem-solving to identify issues and propose practical solutions
  • Bring experience in Transaction Monitoring or AML Analytics (preferred though not mandatory)

Strengthening Regional Model Oversight

If you want your work to improve how compliance risks are identified, understood and managed this role offers real scope to make a difference. You’ll deliver analytics that helps shape better decisions across Transaction Monitoring and broader Compliance model use in the region. The work spans day-to-day delivery and longer-term improvements to data, systems and model governance. Apply to help build stronger controls and more effective financial crime detection through practical, high-impact analytics.
