HSBC Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) is a markets-led, financing-focused business that provides investment and financial solutions. Through our international network, we connect emerging and mature markets, covering key growth areas. We partner with our corporate, government and institutional clients to help them achieve consistent, long-term performance. Our products and services include advisory, financing, prime services, research and analysis, securities services, trading and sales and transaction banking.
Securities Services provides robust and reliable solutions that enhance performance and mitigate risk, today and in the future. Working with institutional investors, banks, insurance companies, governments and multinational corporations, Securities Services offers a range of fund administration, global custody, sub-custody and clearing, and corporate trust and loan agency services. We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Issuer Services (ISV) Team as a Client Service Manager in Dubai, U.A.E.
In this role, you will:
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring ISV requirements are understood by clients and that client needs, industry developments, and competitor insights are communicated within ISV (including liaison with GRMs and client visits).
• Monitor service level agreement (SLA) performance by collating data, providing feedback, resolving operational gaps, and implementing action plans where SLAs are missed by ISV or the client.
• Run formal client surveys to gather feedback and drive service improvements.
• Identify retention and growth opportunities and support the Business Development Manager with new business development.
• Service a broad range of products including conventional bonds, structured finance, project and infrastructure finance, syndicated loans, project bonds, Islamic finance, and escrows.
• Manage transactions across key agency roles (e.g., paying/fiscal/escrow agent, custodian, account bank, cash manager, facility/security agent) and coordinate amendments with external counsel and internal stakeholders.
• Partner with Transaction Managers to ensure smooth onboarding of new transactions, successful post-closing handover, and effective ongoing administration.
• Oversee non-operational deal activities (e.g., closings, amendments, waivers/consents, internal reviews) and act as the key escalation point for deal issues.
• Collaborate with Client Services teams across ISV offices and provide operational support to Centre of Excellence teams in Malaysia and India, acting as an escalation point for portfolio-related issues.
• Proactively monitor new mandates/bids to flag operational risks early, assess viability of non-core client requests, support sales pitches with Business Development, and drive process/technology improvements to enhance client onboarding and servicing.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Previous experience in a Client Services role within Issuer Services/Securities Services
• Strong networking and presentation skills required to build and enhance client relationships
• Strong client network in the MENAT market would be a preference
• Strong system and modelling skills
• Proven ability to communicate with several teams on a daily basis both locally and globally.
• Ability to multi-task and manage frequently changing priorities.
• Sound understanding of legal documentation governing roles/products supported.
• A graduation degree is essential for obtaining a UAE visa and work permit. If your university certificate is from outside the UAE, up-to-date attestations and equivalency are also mandatory (Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications Issued Outside The UAE).
