The role is within the Customer International & Marketing team based in the UAE. The job holder has an influential position in the department and the wider organization. There is an increased demand for events across each business line within IWPB UAE. The individual will constantly need to deal with challenging and complex issues where change or business needs will threaten established practices. 

 

In this role you will be:

  • To support the strategic development of events and activations in the UAE and facilitate ROI on behalf of the business.
  • To work with the frontline and acquisition teams and lead the activation events centered around sales acquisitions which include working on engagement ideas and kiosk development.
  • To develop, manage, implement and measure each event according to the business plan, targets and expectations.
  • To manage the costs and budget of each event according to the planned marketing budget. Oversee all financial planning and management in line with marketing budget.
  • To Manage all launch/business activations and events having direct impact on IWPB business in UAE
  • Development of customer (and prospect) facing experiences with direct effect on ROI
  • Derive strategic plans in collaboration with businesses, monitor implementation and advise on appropriate costs (re-charge)
  • Conceptualize events that are in line with this strategy and the marketing needs of IWPB Product heads
  • Manage close working relationships with each business line at regional level to identify key KPIs and tailor brand sponsorship and events to meet these objectives
  • Liaise with other teams within the marketing department ((Marketing research, planning and digital marketing) to produce strategically aligned and effective prospect and customer communications plans
  • Manage third party agency and suppliers to create one unified unit to forge accountability and teamwork
  • Manage status updates with relevant stakeholders to ensure regular dialogue
  • To lead, ensure and maintain correct internal procedures including implementation of internal and external audit points – Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Financial Crime Compliance (Anti-Bribery and Corruption) both Regionally and Globally
  • To interpret and keep abreast of developments across Marketing FIM and Sponsorship & Events FIM including Gifts and Entertainment

 

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • A minimum of 10+ years of work experience in managing marketing events and activations across Banking, Luxury, Real Estate or Hospitality similar industries.
  • The person should have a minimum of Graduate level of qualification in Marketing or Business Management
  • The job holder will need to be well organized with strong attention to detail and an ability to plan and prioritize.
  • Demonstrate Customer Centricity by thinking and acting beyond product sales.
  • Possess active listening skills and demonstrate an ease in building close working relationships with key stakeholder within and outside the department.
  • Experience of third-party negotiations both for the development of strategic relationships and the maintenance of marketing and event suppliers.
  • High level of personal integrity and values in line with business core values.
  • Excellent personal communication, presentation and relationship management skills
  • Graduation degree is REQUIRED – to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit.
  • HSBC UAE (except DIFC and ADGM employees) – hence in line with the term of work permit, a 4 years’ contract would be issued.
