Head of CTO (Chief Technology Office) Technology (Vice President)

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team in the role of Head of CTO (Chief Technology Office) Technology.

Role Profile:

This role will lead staff within Bangladesh, CTO (Chief Technology Office) Technology Team, the candidate will help strengthen Bangladesh oversight and streamline governance between Local & Regional teams, both Business & Technology. Besides, s/he need to work closely with all businesses lines and build strong relationships with Senior leaders to provide essentials support to Bangladesh CIO on matters relating to relevant regulatory and board relationships within the Market. S/he need to collaborate with peer regional heads, GB/GF business, and other senior Technology Personnel to implement CTO goals in the Market, policy, expense and regulatory constraints, in line with technology strategy, priorities and budgets.

In this role, you will:

Technology Service Provision to CTO within Bangladesh

• Accountable for the delivery of CTO/IT Infrastructure Services & Products.
• Accountable for the shaping, evaluation and value assessment of the overall Change Portfolio for IT Infrastructure
• Lead a team of Technology Infrastructure specialists
• Implement new technology requests, and rollout new solution for business with proper organizing and systems specification
• Ensure Operational Risks and Controls are implemented and effective
• Understand local regulatory technical requirements and banking solution protocols as defined the regulators
• Deliver application management services, including investigation on enterprise infrastructure issues, systems diagnosis or complying of IT process policy
• Review all Cloud Technology requirements for the Country to ensure governance, fulfilling      regulatory requirement & tracking
• Oversee system security and ensure that CTO is not exposed to critical risks from a Technology point of view
• Record, build remediation plans and organize appropriate governance
• Ensure that all technology decisions align to appropriate governance and architecture Standards
• Review and maintain all systems to HSBC standards
• Finance and planning leads to budget for information technology needs and monitor/maintain this budget
• Establish relevant metrics to facilitate reporting and decision making

Partnership with CTOi Asia and Middle East Management

• Responsible for collaborating with peer Market Heads, GB/GF Business, and other senior Technology Personnel to implement CTO goals in Bangladesh policy, expense and regulatory constraints, in line with Technology strategy, priorities and budgets
• Responsible for leading and influencing the CTO Technology Team to meet functional goals in Bangladesh, and oversee delivery of the portfolio to time, cost, and quality target
• Responsible for ensuring that all Bangladesh demand is captured and effectively prioritized within the CTO global portfolio
• Responsible for coordinating all Bangladesh’s input into the annual planning cycle
• Responsible for governing all CTO programs portfolio in Bangladesh ensuring the status and impacts to time, cost and quality are reported into CTOi Asia & Middle East
• Responsible for delivery of CTO Technology Transformation, Agile and DevOps adoption in Bangladesh to realize savings as per targets in partnership with GB/GF Businesses and Technology Teams
• Responsible for successful delivery of key CTO change programs in Bangladesh
• Responsible for ensuring deliverables are supportive and in compliance with CTO target state architecture
• Responsible for coordinating regional activities required to mitigate service issues
• Responsible for service performance of end-to-end services delivered within the Bangladesh (e.g. service SLA, MTTR, etc.)
• Consult on delivery status of overall service/application health for Bangladesh owned applications, and expert advice provided/facilitated from wider CTO as necessary
• Consult on problem management and root cause analysis related to Bangladesh Owned Applications where applicable, and expert advice provided/facilitated from wider CTO as necessary

Functional Knowledge

• Practical experience in the leadership and management of an engineering function most focused on the delivery of operations technologies.
• Strong interpersonal skills – ability to influence, lead and drive teams to deliver. Demonstrate good judgement and a high level of communication skills to achieve effective stakeholder management
• Knowledge of technology and technology trends, and the ability to provide technology consultancy to senior business heads
• Experience in planning and managing significant expenditure in a complex organization.
• Ability to work in a complex, matrix organization.

Educations Qualifications

• Bachelor from a public/private university preferably from IT background.
