We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join in the role of Application Development and Maintenance (ADM) Manager.

 

Principal Accountabilities

 

  • Develop or implement software solutions, manage banking applications through Group and local project initiatives to support critical to day-to-day business operations in HSBC Bangladesh
  • Assist on requirement analysis, system design, development, oversee software implementation and maintenance of HSBC Bangladesh applications that can fulfill Local or Group business needs and regulatory concerns with proper contingency
  • Work in the field level on target delivery with agreed levels of functionality of committed projects, continuous monitoring and effort on project progress
  • Deliver excellent application management services, including investigation on bug fixation, systems diagnosis or complying of IT process policy
  • Execute new projects where budgeting, planning, design, monitor project progress, change management are the major responsibilities to support and assistance to internal customer
  • Implementation of new technology requests, software to business with proper organising and systems specification
  • Review programming code to meet system requirements, system designs, technical specifications in accordance with quality accredited standards
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements
  • Business Risk and Control Management, Supplier or Third-Party Risk Management and adhere to HSBC Security standards.
  • Maintain and develop positive and professional working relationships with stakeholders at the Regional and Country levels.
  • Others BAU and regular tasks associated with ADM team.

 

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from a public/private university preferably from Information Technology background
  • Hands-on expertise on software domain knowledge, architecture, database and development on payments, workflow and reporting solutions. Particularly cash collection and cash management including reconciliation, credit automation like CL/CIB, regulatory templates / reporting and other MIS (encashment certificates and advice, internal and outward remittance advice etc.).
  • Experience on Object Orientated Programming, RDBMS, middleware and other technologies such as Microsoft.Net (C# & ASP.net), Java, Oracle, SQL Server, Apache, IIS, Systems/Software Infrastructure and architecture.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Working experience on systems integration with latest AI Technology, Automation tools, MQ, MX, SOAP, SWIFT, XML and other world standard API will be added advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), project management practices and methodology and project or software documentation.
  • Ability to form effective relationships, working under pressure and in a team, taking ownership and to influence at the most senior level in the organization
  • Good track record and practical experience in delivering local and global projects
  • Working for bank or financial institute on different business domains (particularly Payments, Treasury, Remittance, Corporate Banking) to interpret for automation or business process reengineering will be an added advantage.
