Senior Wholesale Credit Risk Manager, Wholesale Credit Risk, R&C (Senior Vice President)

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team in the role of Senior Wholesale Credit and Market Risk Manager.

In this role, you will:

• Lead recommendation and approval of credit proposals from Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) and Global Network Banking (GNB) within delegated limits, involving complex and large transactions/deals and requiring more senior level engagement throughout the credit approval process.
• Improve credit quality and thereby reduce potential loss to the Bank through a focused, independent and insightful analysis of credit risk (customer / industry) across CIB and GNB portfolios.
• Provides prompt advice and operational support to Business units and ensures timely response to credit proposals while maintaining credit appraisal quality in order to contribute to the bank’s strategic goals. 
• Drive and supervise 2LoD initiatives within WCR function and provide meaningful perspective into formulation and implementation of local lending guidelines taking into cognizance of the Group/Regional Standards and Risk Strategy &
• Appetite that reflects both local Markets and regulations.
• Maintain collaboration with the Business to ensure dissemination of credit related guidance and explanation on credit policy and other credit related matters to ensure adequacy of resources and appropriateness of procedures and processes.
• Coach, mentor and supervise junior members of the team to develop credit analysis skill, quicker turnaround of credit application and ability to take constructive credit decision on a risk-based approach to ensure safer growth of Bank’s assets.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Graduate degree preferably in business background from a public/private university with significant working experience in Wholesale / Commercial Banking / Risk / Credit Administration or other related Risk Management functions
• Reasonable knowledge about other areas of risk like Sovereign, Market, Operational, Legal, Regulatory, Financial Crime, etc. 
• Strong understanding about group strategies and priorities and knowledge about local business environment
• High level professional competence which helps to determine solutions around appropriate risk measures, risk processes, risk monitoring and management
• Strong understanding the strategies of the Group and Wholesale business lines collaborates with the business to accomplish these strategies
• Ability to form effective relationships and to influence at the most senior level in the organisation
• Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills 
• Ability to work under pressure and to maintain standards.
