Principal Accountabilities

 

  • Support the development of short, medium and long-range country strategic plan and business operational plans for the achievement of overall business objectives
  • Direct appropriate forecasting and business analysis activities and assist to identifying the areas to focus efforts on metrics for success
  • Monitor and oversee country strategic plan implementation progress and transformation initiatives
  • Direct internal business research and review programmes and planning projects with relevant executives
  • Review proposals for major capital expenditure to ensure their conformity with corporate plans
  • Evaluate existing and proposed major investments and provide detailed statistical and financial data to thoroughly assess such projects
  • Review operating plans and results of all LOB/Functions/Digital Business Services
  • Evaluate tactical initiatives based on geo-political and regulatory environment
  • Develop strong relationships and prepare agendas for non-client stakeholders i.e. Embassies, Business Councils, Industry Group and Governmental Agencies, as appropriate
  • Shape agenda for internal and external events/meetings, help collate information, preparation of presentations and other support as required.
  • Ensure new ways of working are embedded across all governance forums
  • Identifying streamlining opportunities which will lead to an increase in operational efficiency across the Bank
  • Coordinate the monthly Country EXCO Meeting including EXCO reference pack finalisation.
  • Finalise the CEO Letter in coordination with the GBLs and GFs. 
  • Monitor CEO scorecard and coordinate with EXCO to ensure scorecard deliverables are reflected in business / function objectives

 

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in business background from a public/private university 
  • Can do approach with a positive mindset
  • Strong organisational, analytical, negotiation, communication, teamwork and influencing skills 
  • Experience of driving strategic change in a matrix environment
