We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team in the role of CLM Quality Manager.
 
Principal Accountabilities
 
• Ensure the cases are audited in accordance with Independent Quality Function procedures and respective line of business procedures.
• Assess AML/Terrorist Financing and overall client risks of CMB new and existing customers (including Business Banking and Corporate customers.
• The role involves liaising with multiple stakeholders ensuring adequate development and coaching is provided to the operations and production teams to develop skills and competencies.
• Review documents and KYC information provided to complete the due diligence process and customer profile.
• The jobholder will also adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by internal and external.
• Review customer profiles to identify possible patterns of money laundering and terrorist financing activity, ensuring compliance with applicable internal policies and procedures and external regulations.
• Successfully complete the accreditation/certification process and support the Team Manager Quality Function in facilitating accreditation/certification process.
• Adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with Company and regulatory standards, policies, and practices.
• Follow appropriate escalation matrix and proactively highlight questionable profiles based on logical reasoning.
• Ensure zero operational / reputational loss.
• Act as the secondary checkpoint for ensuring local and group Anti Money Laundering (AML) guidelines and the primary checkpoint for the identification of CDD related errors for onward submission to the group.
 
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
 
• Bachelor’s degree preferably from a public/private university.
• Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and time management skill.
• AML qualification (e.g. ACAMS) and or post graduate Compliance degree is an advantage.
• Ability to learn quickly and to work within tight time frame.
• Strong knowledge on Central Bank’s guidelines/circulars, internal control requirements, and core banking operations along with HUB Knowledge will be added advantage.
• Relevant work experience in CDD/KYCs and job-related guidance knowledge.
• Strong time management and decision-making skill.
• Strong Customer Services and People Management Skills.
