Job description

Role purpose:

The Head of Liquidity Management will oversee monitoring, forecasting and assuring compliance with all internal and regulatory liquidity metrics, for the latter it also includes local and PRA report preparation and submission. In addition, the role is also responsible for preparing and coordinating internal and regulatory liquidity stress scenarios. The role includes close contact with all the lines of business, regulators and MKTY. The function for LAM includes oversight of liquidity metrics and Group’s policy implementation.

Main activities: 

  • Forecasting and assuring compliance with all internal and external liquidity ratios. Prepare and update the funding plan according to the lines of business projections.
  • Endorse the use and development of statistical models to support the liquidity function of the bank, i.e. Operational Deposits.
  • Elaborate liquidity stress scenarios and complete internal exercises, including early warning indicators, ILAAP, etc.
  • Monitor aggregate cost of funds and challenge business lines dynamics to optimize NII.
  • Collaborate with the Treasury team in the management of the balance sheet.

  • Deliver standardization & simplification initiatives and monitor & assess effectiveness and efficiency for the function.
  • Support compliance with regulation and internal limits.
  • Lead and implement strategic projects.
  • Identify opportunities and actively engage in the development of common data platforms and utilities in close association with related workstreams.

  • Develop and maintain a collaborative working relationship with relevant compliance and key business stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Anticipates and addresses issues and concerns from stakeholders and resolves them in an effective manner.
  • Drives synergies and process efficiencies including adoption of new and advanced automation solutions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Over fifteen years of relevant experience in banking and finance.
  • Experience on balance sheet management and banking regulation.
  • Extensive exposure across multiple Treasury, Finance, Risk and Regulatory disciplines including business information, and analysis.
  • Proven project management and analytical skills, together with ability to support decisions with sound commercial reasoning.
  • Lateral thinker with an ability to interpret and solve complex issues.
  • Numerate, evidence based analytical skills founded on an empirical base.
  • Ability to lead change, contributing to joining up with the other teams.
  • Good communicator with strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • English advanced level.
