Cash Equities Lead

Role purpose

We’re looking for a Cash Equities Production Lead that owns the end-to-end technical onboarding of clients, manages FIX session stability, and ensures high-performance connectivity for electronic trading. This role involves leading a team of technical support analysts or integration engineers to ensure seamless order routing, execution, and post-trade processing.

Focusing on IT and FIX Protocol is a specialized leadership role responsible for the technical connectivity, order management, and electronic trading operations between the brokerage and its clients (buy-side institutions) or external trading venues (exchanges). This role acts as the bridge between technical infrastructure, client relationship management, and regulatory compliance.

Main activities

• Lead certification, testing and production go‑live for new client FIX connections (4.2/4.4/5.0), including custom workflows and session configuration.
• Act as escalation for complex technical issues, connectivity outages and latency, ensuring maximum uptime for OEMS/DMA/Algo platforms.
• Oversee FIX engines, TCP/IP connectivity, firewall rules and trading servers to maintain stability and performance.
• Define and implement best practices for certification, testing and documentation to accelerate onboarding and increase reliability.
• Mentor and lead onboarding specialists and support analysts; drive operational excellence and skills development.
• Ensure electronic trading and connectivity comply with relevant regulations, FIX 5.0 standards and exchange rules.
• Own audit readiness for the Brokerage House (both internal and external) and ensure audit requirements are met with quality and on schedule.
• Serve as Brokerage House representative on the Risk Oversight Committee, ensuring transparent execution of risk‑mitigation activities.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of FIX Protocol (4.2/4.4/5.0), TCP/IP networking, and scripting/programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) for automation.
• Experience working with AI tools (copilot, claude, etc)
• Solid and proven experience in financial technology, specifically within a brokerage or sell-side environment, handling FIX connectivity.
• Understanding of trading life cycles (Equities, FX, Derivatives, Options).
• Experience leading technical implementations and client-facing integration projects.
• Experience working with LUMINA systems, FIS, FIDESSA, etc.
