We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Operations Officer - Global Trade Services.
Principle responsibilities
- Deliver a consistently high-quality customer experience by driving strong day-to-day operational performance across trade processing, including Letters of Credit, Documentary Credit document checking, trade finance loan processing, shipping documentation, bank guarantees, and document management.
- Put customers at the centre of every decision by promoting a genuinely customer-focused culture across the team.
- Use technical expertise to resolve queries and issues across import and export financing promptly and accurately.
- Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support smooth processing and timely client outcomes.
- Follow audit, compliance, and risk control requirements rigorously to minimise operational, financial, and reputational risk.
- Contribute to a collaborative, supportive team environment, sharing knowledge and helping colleagues succeed together.
- Identify and action opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency, streamlining processes and improving turnaround times.
Requirements:
- Sound knowledge in Import and Export Pre/Post Shipment Financing products.
- Knowledge in Supply Chain Financing and Receivable Financing products.
- Knowledge related to UCP600, ISBP821, URR725, URC522, URDG 758 and other ICC publications related to Trade Governing Rules.
- Ability to digest complex policies and procedures.
- Strong people skills, with clear and confident written and verbal communication.
- Self-driven and proactive, able to stay flexible and deliver high-priority, time-sensitive work with ownership and care.
- Professional Trade qualifications (i.e. CSCF, CDCS) would be an added advantage.
