This team partners closely with business teams to drive simplification and deliver exceptional customer outcomes in Asia and the Middle East region which covers 26 markets, 600+ offices and branches, and more than 140,000 employees. By strengthening our control environment and enhancing risk management, we drive operational excellence and enable the bank to deliver focused and sustainable growth in this super-region.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Head of Performance and Planning.
Principle responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the country’s strategic plan, aligning with global and regional priorities
- Drive performance management across the business, using data and insights to track progress, identify gaps, and influence outcomes
- Partner with Finance to oversee planning cycles, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization
- Provide clear visibility on performance through competitor benchmarking and executive reporting
- Champion change initiatives, ensuring effective delivery and continuous improvement across functions
- Strengthening governance frameworks, ensuring regulatory reporting and control standards are met
- Collaborate with HR, Risk, Compliance, and Audit to embed a strong performance and accountability culture
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, enabling informed decision-making
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in performance management, strategy execution, or COO-related roles
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge senior leaders
- A sharp, analytical mindset with the ability to simplify complex problems into clear actions
- Experience working in fast-paced, evolving environments with competing priorities
- Strong commercial awareness, with a solid understanding of business performance drivers
- Confidence in handling financials, including planning, cost management, and reporting
- A proactive, forward-thinking approach with a focus on continuous improvement
- High levels of ownership, resilience, and drive to deliver results
