Role Purpose 

•    Entry level position to the financial services industry.
•    Delivery of processes according to PLA with Business Partner
•    Processing of assigned tasks.
•     Any other non-daily operational matters and ad-hoc requests that maybe assigned.

Principal Accountabilities : Key activities and decision making areas

 Achieves Operations Management

•    Ensure timely and accurate processing of  transactions
•    Maintain and update static data and related information within agreed standards.
•    Escalate instances that do not comply with the PLA
•    Follow up of all outstanding transactions
•    Other functional duties relating to transaction processing when assigned    


Promotes Service  Management

•    Providing prompt acknowledgements to Business partner requests.
•    Learning and understanding the business drivers for the Transfer Agency business.
   

Develops People Interaction by    

•    Participate in an open environment that will encourage ownership of issues
•    Participate in the continuous evolution of staff training program.
•    A team player with good inter-personal skills

Role Context 

•    Must be able to work within a team and manage peak periods of high demand.
•    Ability to work in shifts.
•    Will be expected to maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, together with any issues raised by external regulators.
•    Responsible for the implementation of Group Compliance Policy as is applicable to this role.
•    Must be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with this role and to ensure that all actions performed take into account the likelihood of operational risk occurring.

 

Management of Risk 

•    Abide by the Group Compliance Policy by containing compliance risk in conjunction with the relevant Compliance Department.  The term compliance embraces all relevant laws, rules and codes with which the business has to apply.
•    Maintain HSBC internal control standards including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, together with any issues raised by external regulators
•    To continually re-assess the operational risks inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures, management restructures, and the impact of new technology in conjunction with the donor Group companies.
•    Understanding of Group FIMs, Group Audit / Internal Control Review / Compliance reports
•    Act with high levels of integrity, conduct and performance against ethical standards. Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Essentials/Minimum : 

    A Bachelors degree in accounting or other qualifications relevant to the accounting/finance industry.
    0-3 years of relevant/accounting work experience.
    Proficiency in EXCEL essential.
    Ability to Speak and understand English 
    Good interpersonal and team work skills.
    Organized and detail oriented.

Preferable Skills :

    Relevant industry qualifications.
    Earlier experience in funds services industry. 
    Excellent customer service and communication skills.
    Experience of working in a team.
    Ability to re-prioritize workloads due to changing circumstances; meet strict deadlines.
    Will be expected to maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, together with any issues raised by external regulators.
