Job description

GCB 4

Why join us?

The Group AI Platform team sits within CTO Platforms, part of HSBC’s Chief Technology Office (CTO). We build shared AI foundations that enable teams across the Bank to deliver AI solutions faster, more safely and at scale.

Our platform provides a “paved road” for AI delivery, bringing together seamless access to AI models and infrastructure, a consistent Agent HUB to build, deploy and manage production-ready AI agents, reusable AI capabilities (such as knowledge management and document intelligence), and built-in controls including guardrails, evaluation and monitoring to support responsible adoption.

We’re a global team with an established footprint across Asia (Hong Kong, Mainland China, India) and Europe (Poland, UK), and we continue to expand to support delivery across regions. Joining the team means working at the centre of HSBC’s AI enablement—partnering with multiple lines of business and functions across regions to turn AI capabilities into reliable, repeatable services that deliver measurable business value.

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will be responsible for shaping program strategies and ensuring alignment with HSBC's strategic objectives. You will oversee delivery, governance, and reporting to stakeholders, while building strong relationships with senior stakeholders. Your expertise will guide financial management and resource allocation, and you will collaborate with various teams to ensure adherence to technology practices and quality assurance processes. This position offers the chance to influence decision-making and drive successful outcomes across the organization.

What you’ll do:

1.Own end-to-end delivery of the Group AI Agent Platform roadmap (scope, plan, milestones, dependencies, outcomes).
2.Drive governance and delivery cadence (steerco, RAID, status reporting, decision logs) with clear executive-level updates.
3.Manage cross-team delivery across engineering, architecture, data/AI, security, risk and controls; remove blockers and align priorities.
4.Control scope, schedule and budget; manage vendor/partner delivery where applicable.
5.Lead delivery assurance: quality gates, release readiness, cutover planning, and post-implementation stabilisation.
6.Proactively manage delivery risks, issues and change control, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
7.Ensure delivery aligns to enterprise security, compliance and operational standards, including documentation and audit-ready evidence.

What you will need to succeed in the role:

'’1. 5 year + project manager working experience
2. Proven project/programme management experience delivering complex technology platforms in large enterprise environments.
3. Strong planning and execution skills: integrated plans, critical path, dependency management, and benefits tracking.
4. Strong practices in delivery governance: RAID, financial tracking, reporting, and stakeholder management at senior levels.
5. Working knowledge of cloud/platform engineering and SDLC (APIs, CI/CD, environments, release management) to engage credibly with engineers.
6. Excellent facilitation and negotiation skills across multiple teams; able to drive decisions and resolve conflicts.
7. Excellent, clear, concise communication (written and verbal), including executive updates and structured documentation.
8. Demonstrates an AI-native mindset, applying AI-driven approaches to improve  productivity, quality, and decision-making.
