Associate Director - Portfolio Structuring & Optimisation

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Associate Director.
The successful individual will be responsible for the development, implementation, execution and management of non-payment insurance policies and risk distribution strategies for the wholesale loan portfolio. The individual will support other risk distribution activities such as synthetic securitisations. This role requires a strong understanding of lending products, capital requirements, risk management principles, and insurance products, along with the ability to analyse data, identify opportunities, and mitigate potential risks.
In this role you will:
- Manage the end-to-end process of secondary loan sales and purchases for the wholesale lending portfolio from trade execution to settlement
- Support the timely and accurate execution of structured and vanilla CDS trades and other single name transactions such as Credit Linked Notes
- Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely execution of trades.
- Analysis of the wholesale loan portfolio for potential distribution opportunities.
- Maintain a robust and efficient control environment to ensure good operational, financial and project management and compliance with our policies and procedures, together with early identification and effective resolution or escalation of issues that arise.
- Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of management information, analysis and reporting frameworks that support and informs timely and effective business management and decision making at all levels.
To be successful you will need:
- Knowledge of Credit Derivative products, loan products and secondary markets
- Experience in a Trading/Sales or Coverage role in CIB or elsewhere
- Delivery-focused with ability to pay attention to detail and ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required levels of quality
- Able to demonstrate confidence, gravitas and influencing skills when interacting with multiple senior stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving, organisational and analytical skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain global relationships.
- CFA qualification or equivalent is desirable.
