We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager - Regulatory Reporting Specialist
In this role, you will:
- Responsible for ensuring that the dataset enables HSBC Group and its subsidiaries to meet their internal and regulatory reporting commitments in a timely and accurate way.
- Responsible for extending strategic support to data analysis, operational management, and controls for Global regulatory reporting, Liquidity and Business Finance Processes. The scope will cover Base BDEs, Auto Adjustments, Validations, Fallbacks and Reference data, ESG, strategic reference data tool – RDHM based processes.
- Responsible for ensuring any changes to Reference Data, Auto-adjustments, validations, and fallbacks implemented are backed by adequate documentation, change requests etc. and are of a standard which can withstand internal and external scrutiny.
- Responsible for managing and streamlining newly formulated processes being set up in strategic reference data tool/ platform and manage downstream process impact on Finance Cloud Data Platform space of Risk Weighted Assets, Liquidity, etc..
- Take measures to enable testing, User Acceptance Testing, remediation and Go-Live activities, and observe that e appropriate governance is followed at all steps. Responsible for ensuring full compliance with regulation and internal processes governance.
- Take measures to raise appropriate data quality issues in Aurora backed by detailed analysis and devise strategic measures relating to such closure collaborated with DAO.
- Responsible for conducting data driven analysis, collaborate with multi as well as senior stakeholder management, and enable audit discussions and cross-team collaboration.
- Responsible for observing Reference Data / Rules Management in change forums, understating the change / impact on RDRM process and ensuring smooth implementation.
- Collaborate to ensure that changes are properly governed and adequate impact analysis is carried out.
To be successful you will:
- Strong analytical skills, ability to resolve simple and moderate issues quickly and accurately.
- Strong understanding of Data controls, DUSE framework, Data platform (Cloud Platform), Cloud Data Architecture, Data Lineage, Financial Risk Reporting Controls
- Ability to analyze and interpret large volumes of data.
- Data querying skills including SQL, Python etc.
- Good banking knowledge and strong commercial/business acumen
- Possess knowledge relating to Regulatory Reporting / Business Finance.
- Strong experience in Data Quality, Source Systems Analysis, Business Rules Validation, Source-Target Mapping Design and High-volume Data loads.
