We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager- HBUK Reporting Operations

Business: Finance ( FinOps- HBUK Reporting Operations)

Principal responsibilities

  • Forecasting the funding and capital plan and ad-hoc reporting to senior management, including preparation of Key material & presentations to Senior Management.
  • Prepare Key Reporting materials related to FSA017 - Interest rate gap report, NTMR - Non-Traded Market Risk, EVE - Economic Value of entity, Depositor Concentration, ICAAP, ILAAP & Capital Metrics
  • Development, updating and enhancement of treasury policies and procedures.
  • Project manage and respond to various items compliance and risk-based initiatives (including policy and procedural review).
  • Daily, monthly reporting, and preparing materials for both the EMEA and (where applicable) the Asset/Liability Committees.
  • Prepare material and analysis relevant to the HINV Risk Committee (the parent committee of UK ALCO)
  • Supporting the sign off process by providing analysis, insights and commentaries that summarize the procedures carried out and controls exercised to review & challenge the outputs produced.
  • Quality of the reporting outputs that reflect the accepted regulatory policy and standards with transparent and robust control procedures that comply with required HSBC internal standards.
  • Working with partners in Risk and Compliance to monitor and analyze regulatory developments and their impact on treasury and wider SVBUK business.
  • Building and maintain strong relationships with UK-based and other stakeholders and colleagues around the world.

Qualifications

  • Experienced Finance Professional with a proven track record of delivering Regulatory Reporting or Financial Reporting obligations within a large-scale financial services entity with 7+ years of experience.
  • Strong technical understanding of requirements underpinning regulatory and/or financial reporting in Treasury Domain- Capital Metrics/ICAAP/ILAAP.
  • Understanding of financial products and how they impact reporting requirement, and more generically the banking business, balance sheet and P&L.
  • Strong ability to anticipate, identify and mitigate risks and apply appropriate controls over reporting processes.
  • Experience in playing a key role in delivering a complex change project in the Financial and Regulatory reporting space and / or track record of delivering continuous process improvements through technology and non-technology solutions.
  • Self-motivated, confident, creative, and capable of working effectively autonomously as well as part of a team
