We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President - Finance Operations

 

In this role, you will: 

  • Supporting the regions and countries using Wdesk to deliver the 1Q and 3Q Earnings reports, Interim and ARA financial reports.
  • Challenge the status quo, be committed to ongoing learning, and continually raise the bar in terms of individual, team and enterprise business performance. Manage key Wdesk global processes to agreed service levels and actively engage with all Wdesk stakeholders
  • Successful delivery of 1Q and 3Q Earnings reports, Interim and ARA using Wdesk.
  • Developing strong working relationships and sharing information with customers and key stakeholders. Ability to resolve or escalate complex Wdesk queries to the relevant parties
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities to existing process. Ability to professionally handle queries from Global users, understand and interpret information and route issues to relevant colleagues \ teams (IT, Business etc.)
  • Dealing with ever changing disclosure requirements, increasing length of reports and acceleration of the reporting process. Effective controls management and evaluation through Helios, with evidence gathering as required.
  • The jobholder will also adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.
  • The Document Production team supports a large number of entities with production of their external financial documents. This role adds to the capability of the team to ensure effective support in producing the Q1, Q3,  Interim report and Annual Report and Accounts.
  • Central to the operating model is a document production system - "Wdesk". The document production system should provide a controlled environment in which to facilitate external reports. 
  • The role requires a high degree of effective stakeholder management and communication together with a hands on approach in regard to team activities.

To be successful you will:

  • B.Com / M.Com / MBA with minimum 10+ years of experence of producing financial reports or other large documents e.g. proposals, tenders and bids preferable in a Financial Institution
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, accountancy experience useful but not essential
  • High attention to detail and willingness to engage directly in activity to assist with deliverables, Ability to cope with highly pressurised peak periods and maintain a highly organised process
  • Strong communicator (oral and written)
  • Able to foster a positive, open team environment, adherence to an operational controls environment
  • Leadership/line management experience an advantage, Process management and operations experience
  • Positive attitude to change, able to work under time pressure to meet deadlines and demonstrate a flexible approach
  • Timely and clear decision making, both in forward planning and during a high pressure live reporting environment
