Purpose of the role  

Manage end to end delivery of BAU operations for Intercompany Differences investigation, Resolving Inter-co breaks, and Ageing & breaks management, Reconciliations, Follow-ups, Settlements & Consolidation and reporting for Group Financial Reporting team including preparation for audited annual statement which goes to Global Financial Controller for sign off

In this role, you will:

  • Ability to manage and lead changes within the process & wider in the Intercompany CoE.
  • Responsible and accountable for business service delivery parameters.
  • Investigate various Intercompany reconciliation, back up documentation for reconciliations and schedules
  • Must be proficient in financial statement closure procedures, strong technical knowledge of Intercompany accounting & related processes (balance sheet/income statement, variance analysis)
  • Proficient in assurance and control function related to balance sheet accounts including substantiation for the Intercompany related accounts including Adherence to Finance Instruction Manual.
  • Periodic review of the process controls to identify and implement preventive/detective automated/manual controls and establishing corrective actions where a risk in the process manifests as an issue.
  • Ensure adherence to audit, assurance, internal controls and compliance requirements.

To be successful you will:

  • Chartered Accountant/ CPA/MBA Finance/Finance Graduate, with 10-15 years of experience of working in Financial Services Industry in Intercompany Accounting & Reporting Verticals 
  • High level understanding and implementation of risk & controls policy (Finance Instruction Manual /Desk Instruction Manual), IFRS reporting requirements, audit, controls, assurance and compliance reviews/ SOX related reviews, accounting principles and demonstrated competence in their application
  • Able to provide strategic direction and manage multiple Business Partner relationships/stakeholders, internal and external auditors, troubleshooting/ secondary reviews and understanding all queries raised by business partner, manage performance and determine escalation as necessary
  • Proficient analytical review skills, ability to add value to customer deliverables through understanding of the business / lateral thinking, prepare organizationally and operationally for growth in size of department/responsibilities
  • Project management with ability to drive change and strategic initiatives to realize Business Re-engineering, lead migrations & remigrations and successfully establish processes at Global Financial Operating center
  • Ensure 100% review of all deliverables with high quality of output delivered e.g. financial data in the reports etc. is accurately and correctly presented 
  • Good understanding of systems (Fusion, FTP, HUB, PSGL, etc.), PPT, good to have (HIBS, Saracen 18, various GLs, Appian, Qlik Sense, Xceptor, Python)
