We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Wealth Planner.

In this role you will:

  • Report into the Head of Wealth Planning for Greater China to provide comprehensive wealth structuring and wealth succession guidance and solutions for high and ultra-high net-worth clients for the offshore China and offshore Taiwan market of Global Private Banking. 
  • Collaborate with the wider Wealth Planning & Advisory team and other specialists from both inhouse and external service providers to facilitate the cross-sell of HSBC’s overall legacy capabilities.
  • Exercise key business strategies and revenue growth, while maintaining HSBC's commitment to client centric excellence.
  • Provide training to relationship managers and other internal stakeholders, and work on other projects as assigned from time to time.
  • Monitor industry trends and maintain close relationships with intermediaries in the wealth planning industry. 

To be successful you will need:

  • At least 7-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in financial institutions, professional firms, or independent trust companies
  • Degree holder in law, accounting or finance, preferably with the STEP, CPA, law qualification
  • Sound analytical mind and strong self-motivator
  • Collaborative team player who can work closely with different business partners and stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to develop strong and productive relationships with high and ultra-high net-worth clients.
  • Willingness to travel for business
  • Highest levels of ethical standards and integrity
  • Must have Chinese and English language fluency and experience in advising clients on wealth planning matters in Putonghua
