We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Wealth Planner, Hong Kong.

 

Principal Responsibilities

 

  • Report into the Head of Wealth Planning for Hong Kong, Philippines and International Markets to provide comprehensive wealth structuring and wealth succession guidance and solutions for high and ultra-high net-worth clients from our home market of Hong Kong in HSBC Private Bank.  
  • As a senior wealth planner, he/she will also support the Head of Wealth Planning in driving business development, innovation and revenue growth, specifically on the ultra-high net worth client segment on wealth planning topics, while collaborating with the wider Wealth Planning & Advisory team, relationship managers and other specialists.
  • Provide subject matter training to relationship managers and other internal stakeholders, and lead on other projects as assigned from time to time.
  • Monitor industry trends and maintain close relationships with intermediaries in the wealth planning industry.  

 

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

 

  • Significant number of years of relevant experience either in private professional practice and/or at financial institutions advising high and ultra-high net worth clients on wealth planning topics
  • Seasoned knowledge of domestic and international client needs with direct experience on the use of trust, insurance and funds solutions
  • Degree holder in law, accounting or finance, preferably with the STEP, CPA, law qualification
  • Sound analytical mind and strong self-motivator
  • Collaborative team player who can work closely with different business partners and stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to develop strong and productive relationships with high and ultra-high net-worth clients.
  • Highest levels of ethical standards and integrity
  • Must have Cantonese and English language fluency and experience in advising clients on wealth planning matters in Putonghua
