We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Software Engineering,

In this role you will

Technical Leadership:

• Drive architectural decisions, technical standards, and best practices across all technology domains, including but not limited to AI, data, analytics, and engineering
• Mentor and develop technical talent across multiple teams and locations

Team Management:

• Lead, inspire, and grow a high-performing team of technologists and market specialists in Hong Kong, while collaborating closely with teams in other regions
• Foster a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive team culture aligned with HSBC’s values and strategic objectives

Delivery & Development:

• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of AI Markets projects and solutions, including AI Markets Studio and other strategic initiatives, across Hong Kong and other regional teams
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to define, prioritize, and execute product and technology roadmaps
• Ensure timely, high-quality releases and continuous improvement of market technology solutions

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Build strong relationships with business, technology, and compliance partners across HSBC
• Contribute to strategic planning

Innovation & Growth:

• Champion innovation and the adoption of emerging technologies in financial markets
• Identify opportunities for new products, partnerships, and market expansion

To be successful you will need

• Proven experience in leading technical teams, ideally within financial services, technology, or market analytics domains
• Strong background in software engineering, data analytics, quantitative finance, or related fields
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex deliveries and drive technical strategy across multiple regions
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
• Experience working in a global, matrixed organization is highly desirable
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field
