Senior Supplier Manager - Workspace Experience and Operations - GCOO

The Supplier Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust framework for managing our workplace experience and operations, and hospitality service providers. This role ensures that these suppliers deliver consistent, high-quality services aligned with our internal standards, and regulatory requirements. By overseeing supplier performance, contractual governance, and financial oversight, the position mitigates risks, optimizes costs, and supports HSBCs strategic WE&O, and Hospitality experience across diverse markets and regions.
High-Level Activities
- Develop and implement a strategic framework for managing global and local WE&O and Hospitality providers.
- Oversee the overall performance, contractual governance, and financial efficiency of WE&O and Hospitality Services
- Oversee risk management of the contract and act a SME for supporting regions around third-party risk management related to WE&O and Hospitality risks
- Collaborate with WE&O and Hospitality teams and cross-functional teams to align supplier management with business resilience and regulatory requirements.
- Provide support, training and guidance around contract governance
- Ensuring key contract governance forums are scheduled and Decisions, Actions and Notes (DAN’s) are captured shared and tracked through to completion
- Oversight of the WE&O ORA process working closely with engineering teams and RES heads, Engineering community to support the Global Head of WE&O track operational risk to ensure we maintain the highest levels of operational resilience in respect to our asset management strategy.
- Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to ensure continuous improvement and innovation in WE&O and Hospitality.
- Ensure record keeping is kept up to date (e.g. in systems such as Coupa, Archer, and Service Now) in respect of the management of WE&O and Hospitality providers.
- Maintaining WEO & Hospitality Community Channels including distribution lists, repository of files of key contracts files for the WEO and Hospitality Community.
- Development of communications related to supplier management activities
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualifications in Supply Management, Business Administration, WE&O and Hospitality, or a related field desirable.
- Experience in supplier management, contract governance or commercial oversight. Experience in managing supplier relationships and performance in WE&O and / or Hospitality or related sectors is desirable, and experience within the financial services industry or similarly regulated environments is preferred.
- Expertise in financial oversight, including budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis. Proficiency with contract management systems and performance monitoring tools. Ability to conduct market analysis and benchmarking to drive cost efficiencies and optimise supplier performance.
- Understanding of WE&O and Hospitality. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards specific to financial services and security. Up-to-date knowledge of market trends, emerging risks, and best practices in global security service delivery.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities. Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent negotiation, and conflict resolution capabilities. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
