We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Sales Manager, Corporates, GPS

 

Principal Responsibilities

 

    • Generate and qualify new business leads, while building and sustaining strong relationships with both prospective and existing clients within the segment to identify needs and sell innovative solutions.
    • Deliver strong income growth for the Group by managing a diverse client portfolio and maintaining consistently high levels of client satisfaction.
    • Develop and maintain deep, long-term client relationships in a dynamic, fast moving and competitive market, positioning yourself as a trusted adviser.
    • Lead the coordination and execution of account plans for an assigned portfolio, acting as a central point of contact and partnering closely with Relationship Managers across the region to build sustainable pipeline and drive incremental revenue.
    • Own the pricing, review and negotiation of the full suite of cash and liquidity management solutions across regional and global requirements, while supporting Group wide initiatives where applicable. Accountable for new sales revenue, as well as retention, growth and income performance across the allocated portfolio.
    • Set and drive the strategic direction for corridor and industry-focused sales coverage and client engagement across the region.
    • Maintain specialist-level product and market knowledge, demonstrating strong capability across relevant solutions and services.
    • Role model Senior Sales Manager behaviours and competencies, providing coaching and guidance to sales managers and wider team members as required.
    • Act as an industry subject matter expert, representing the business internally and externally at regional and global conferences, roadshows and industry events, and contributing to case studies and media/press content.

 

Requirements

 

    • Demonstrable leadership and people management capability, supported by relevant industry experience.
    • Strong knowledge of local and regional cash and liquidity management products, structures and techniques.
    • Proven relationship management experience across multiple stakeholder levels, with a strong and consistent sales track record will be a plus.
    • Ability to diagnose client needs and align them to a broad range of products and services to deliver effective solutions.
    • Track record of managing cross-border strategic initiatives and complex stakeholder relationships.
    • Strong analytical and assessment skills, particularly for sophisticated cash and liquidity structures with international considerations.
    • Proven ability to design and deliver flexible, high-value client solutions.
    • Strong understanding of clients’ business models and core treasury requirements.
    • Sound commercial judgement, business acumen and enterprise thinking, including awareness of economic, cultural, operational and regulatory factors.
    • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence internally and externally.
    • Strong planning, organisation and time management skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver compelling presentations. Strong English communication skills; fluency in Chinese is an advantage.
    • Strong analytical capability and consultative selling skills.
    • Good understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscape and regulatory developments.
    • Experience working within an international global banking environment.
    • Knowledge of Payment Foreign Exchange and the day-to-day operations of a corporate treasury function.
    • Broad understanding of HSBC Group entities and product capabilities.
