We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior SCF Programme Manager.
In this role you will:
- The Supply Chain Finance (SCF) Program Manager role is a strategic client-facing hybrid product & sales role within HSBC to drive the growth of Supply Chain Finance programs. The SCF Program Manager is the single point of contact for the client and must work with the client in ensuring they have adopted the correct working capital strategy, ensure stakeholder engagement and provide guidance / advice on best practices to enable growth of their SCF program.
- Maintains a strategic relationship with the client to open opportunities for further growth / expansion.
- Collaborate with Sales Managers to identify opportunities for expansion of existing programs and delivery of cross-sell opportunities that meet client needs.
- Operate as the primary point of contact for existing SCF clients on all transactional and programmatic queries, taking ownership of client identified issues and mobilizing internal stakeholders to deliver a resolution.
- Drive engagement with internal GTS and functional stakeholders to ensure efficient execution of SCF
- Address and solve for any challenges for the program to grow coordinating with internal and external stakeholders where required.
- Oversee the status and ramp up of supplier engagement and utilisation – acting as an escalation point for the supplier engagement team.
- Conduct program reviews with the client on performance, opportunities, cross sell identification
- Proactive engagement with Finance and other stakeholders to ensure balances, revenues and margins are correctly captured in financial reporting systems and collaborate to troubleshoot any issues identified.
- Collaborate with Sales, Implementation and Operations to ensure program structure and operational parameters are understood through the design, implementation and execution process.
- Act as primary contact point for GTS Operations for any transactional processing, revenue recognition or client behavioral issues and mobilize GTS and non GTS stakeholders as required.
- Proactively collaborate with CIB Coverage community regarding established programs, addressing Coverage questions and act as a primary contact point for relationships with structured trade facilities.
- Proactively collaborate with Supplier Engagement Managers to drive the timely expansion of existing supply chain finance programs.
- Effectively coordinate and collaborate with the HSBC team across geographies and functions to develop appropriate solutions, construct product proposals and sales pitches
- Provide feedback to Product, Implementation, Sales and Operations based on client sentiment and input on the GTS proposition, the competitive landscape and specific requirements which help drive product enhancements/developments as appropriate
- Formulate, support and drive sector engagement strategies, including participation in events, case studies, client testimonials, client planning and wallet sizing activities
- Maintain and observe all HSBC control standards and implement the Risk and Compliance Policies, including recommendations from internal/external auditors and regulators.
- Continually re-assess the operational risks inherent in GTS taking account of changing market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices and management restructurings.
- Proactively implement risk mitigation measures to protect the Bank and its customers from all regulatory, compliance and service issues.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions (FIMs, GSM, GCLs) and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group’s values.
To be successful you will need:
- Minimum 5 years Trade experience and minimum of 2 years client experience
- Proficiency in English; additional language proficiency, such as in Mandarin Chinese, is preferred
- Experience of managing a client portfolio and/or responsibility for a driving client cross-sell and satisfaction metrics, plus a proven sales record with strong data analytical skills
- Deep understanding of trade finance and working capital solutions, market and competitive trends and sector based regulatory environment particularly Supply Chain Finance
- Strong knowledge of the day-to-day Treasury and Procurement environment, particularly as it relates to working capital.
- Proven ability to collaborate with local, regional and global colleagues within and outside of GTS to deliver innovative solutions that address complex client challenges
- Proven experience in managing large complex relationships in client facing roles, demonstrating an understanding of risk management, structures, credit, products, processes, in an individual contributor capacity
- Proven ability to identify and meet customer needs by matching a broad range of products and services, and delivering creative and flexible customer solutions within a deadline
