We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Manager, Sales Business Mgmt, GPS
In this role you will:
- Drive execution of the regional sales strategy, conceptualise and lead strategic initiatives for GPS sales independently.
- Work across pillars of Governance, Reporting and Information, Engagement, Analytics and Propositions and Tactical Execution.
- Own and drive sales risk management including controls and testing, sales suitability, deal approval committees, audit face off and testing as required for Asia and globally as needed, working closely with the rest of sales BM and Director Sales Business Management Asia.
- Own the governance and risk management agenda for sales. Embed the core globally consistent sales tools, systems and processes to deliver sustainable improvement in sales performance across regions and customer groups. Plan, design and implement sales process improvement strategies and new global tools, to drive sales process consistency and adoption. Carry out on-going quality and risk reviews to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop & lead strategic initiatives and propositions, simplify process related improvements, track sales performance, drive a sales culture oriented towards complex solutions and deliver the right governance and risk management within the sales teams.
- Facilitate and maintain a deep understanding of GPS Sales model, its key strengths and any potential or emerging gaps and develop priorities aligned to achievement of GPS sales objectives. Collaborate with the wider GPS organisation (Product, Service, Connectivity etc.) and CIB Coverage organisation to deliver client and sales requirements.
- Solve issues facing the business through connecting people, leveraging the network and providing expertise.
- Build and maintain strong networks with key internal stakeholders, enabling execution at pace and be seen as a key influencer.
- Provide support and guidance in an environment that is often non-routine, delegated and has conditions of uncertainty, working across different segments and priorities.
- Work and lead initiatives & working groups which cut across regions and drive global innovation and best practices. Take a view to uplift across Corporate and Institutional sales business and support cross business cross region cross functional requirements.
- Ensure adherence to Group policies, procedures, and strategies within GPS globally. Maintain and observe all HSBC control standards and implement and observe the Group Compliance Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators.
To be successful you will need:
- Prior client facing experience and hands on delivery of solutions from a transaction banking and corporate banking and network banking perspective.
- Knowledge of the GPS business and broader construct of HSBC’s Global Businesses
- Track record of innovation, delivering high impact results in relation to business development, strategy, cross functional initiative execution and growth initiatives delivery.
- Hand on experience in risk management controls and frameworks & internal system and tools used to drive business performance strongly preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and insight skills
- Strong communication skills (both spoken and written)
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills that facilitates strong collaboration across business areas to deliver desired business outcomes and objectives
- Ability and confidence to work with internal senior management
- Able to work with a considerable degree of self-motivation, proactiveness, autonomy and pace on high priority deliverables
- High levels of resilience, delivering under pressure to tight deadlines in a change oriented, fast paced environment.
- Familiarity with GPS & Coverage sales practices in the Corporate or Institutional client segment would be advantageous.
