Principal Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Strategy and Framework Development: Define and implement strategies, frameworks, and tools for managing budgets, purchase orders, change requests, invoices, and non-budgeted supplier spend
- Budget Oversight and Approval: Provide oversight and advise regional RES Directors on approval of global annual budgets, ensuring adherence to the contractually committed Description of Services (DoS) and maintaining appropriate cost control measures
- Change Control Notices (CCNs): Be first financial approver for CCNs that impact the DoS and global, regional, and territory budgets, ensuring alignment with financial objectives
- Budget vs. Actuals Management: Maintain global oversight of budget versus actual expenditure, identifying risks and opportunities to optimize financial performance
- Operational and Capital Expenditure Management: Manage both operational expenditure (Opex) and capital expenditure (Capex) related to third-party suppliers, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of resources
- Central Fee Management: Simplify the model of allocating and assignment of central fees. Monitor and assign recharge values to the markets each year. Work with each regional and market lead to explain and obtain agreement on allocation
- Supplier Relationship Management: Collaborate with suppliers to drive further value from relationships, identifying cost-saving opportunities and more efficient financial control processes
- Risk Identification and Mitigation: Proactively identify emerging financial risks related to supplier costs and support the resolution of issues to safeguard budgetary integrity
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare detailed financial reports and analyses to provide insights into supplier cost management, supporting decision-making processes
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with finance leads, procurement teams, supplier teams and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and effective supplier cost management strategiesbe successful you will need
Qualification:
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is preferred
- Certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) are preferred
- Experience working in finance, accounting, or a related field is essential
- Experience in cost management, budgeting, and financial analysis is essential
- Experience in commercial management is desirable
- Proficiency in financial software and tools such as Excel, SAP, Oracle, or other financial management systems
- Strong analytical, and financial analysis skills
- nderstanding of financial regulations, tax and cross border payments
- Familiarity with cost accounting principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross functional team environment including Finance, the market team and the supplier partners
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis
