Finance – Financial Reporting Department (FCM)
Hang Seng's Finance works closely with the Bank's stakeholders, including business partners, shareholders, regulators and external examiners. We function as their accountants and business partners in providing comprehensive information on financial management, financial planning, financial reporting and compliance, capital planning and reporting, financial control & SOX control, tax advisory, insurance finance, and treasury and investment finance.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Regulatory Reporting Manager.
Principal responsibilities
- Supervise the production of timely and accurate prudential returns to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and reports required by overseas regulators
- Ensure the financial compliance in accordance with the relevant regulatory requirements of the Banking Ordinance and the various HKMA SPMs and guidelines
- Assist in formulating the policies related to the compliance of relevant regulatory ratios and control limits.
- Prepare regulatory related information to senior management, the Board and various committees
- Provide support and regulatory opinion to business on the implementation of new banking products
- Support in the regulatory reporting control assessments and enhancement
- Provide timely reply and comments in response to the HKMA’s enquiry and their consultation papers
Requirements
- University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with a recognized professional qualification is an advantage
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in regulatory reporting in banking or similar experience in auditing of financial institutions in Big 4 audit firms
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Good communication, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills
- Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective regulatory reporting processes
- Sound knowledge of application software such as MS Access, Excel and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese is essential
