Job description

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Regional Head of Supplier Engagement

 

In this role you will:

  • Drive innovation and industry best practice in the development & delivery of supplier onboarding methodologies, tools & techniques, leveraging an ever-evolving FinTech Landscape as part of the end-to-end product fulfilment lifecycle. Develop the tools & techniques to support the provisioning, management and troubleshooting of technology-based issues part of client implementation lifecycle and share with regional and country teams
  • Promote a culture of professional, programme/project leadership in global deals and a client-facing delivery environment, with accountability for all supplier activities as part of client transition through the solutions delivery lifecycle to business-as-usual.
  • Constantly strive to ensure alignment between projects outcomes, clients’ business objectives and internal value-based success criteria / KPIs.
  • Evaluate and improve the ways in which we work, leveraging the Voice of the Supplier/Customer and employee feedback as part of an ongoing endeavour to maximize agility whilst driving customer satisfaction and overall business value.

 

To be successful you will need:

  • To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
  • Extensive experience in Supply Chain Finance / Trade & Receivables Finance, or Corporate Procurement with strong knowledge of payables finance / reverse factoring, supplier engagement models, and end-to-end onboarding processes.
  • Proven track record of delivering supplier onboarding and utilisation outcomes at scale, improving conversion, activation and programme penetration in line with buyer expectations.
  • Strong working capital and financial analysis capability, able to advise and influence supplier CFO/Treasurer-level stakeholders and handle higher-value, nuanced conversations beyond process management with Treasury/Finance and Procurement executives.
  • Demonstrable experience leading in a regional, multi-country matrix environment, coordinating across Sales/Relationship teams, Program Managers, Product, Solutions Implementation, Operations/Services, Technology/Channels and third-party/CoE delivery partners.
  • Strong programme/project and portfolio management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent client mandates, prioritise effectively, and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • People leadership capability: experience leading, coaching and performance-managing multi-cultural teams; establishing high engagement, development focus, and consistent standards.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills, including the ability to produce high-quality external and internal materials and represent HSBC at supplier events as required.
  • Strong data/MI/AI capability and confidence producing insights and executive-ready and customer reporting using PowerPoint and Office tools and relevant GTS systems.
  • Sound understanding of operational risk, controls, and compliance discipline, including timely completion of mandatory learning and adherence to internal standards and procedures.
  • Fluency in Cantonese/Mandarin is preferred
