Investments and Wealth Solutions

Hang Seng's Investments and Wealth Solutions offers a full spectrum of wealth products and services to our Retail Banking and Wealth (RBW) customers, from high-net-worth to mass segments across channels to capture opportunity under different market scenarios. We play a distributor role to source investment and insurance products from service providers, manage the product due diligence and onboarding, as well as client journey design and implementation. We distribute investment funds managed by top tier fund managers covering different types of funds, across regions and asset classes. A wide range of structured products with underlying linked to equities, FX rates, interest rates, investment funds, etc. are offered for investors to pursue different investment objectives. We also offer fixed income instruments and certificates of deposit to customers who look for regular coupon payment.  Besides, we have securities services covering exchange traded equities in local and overseas markets offered through a wide variety of trading channels. Margin trading services covering FX and securities, and investment financing service provides extra liquidity and purchasing power to cater for investment needs from sophisticated investors.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Product Development Manager, Discretionary and Alternatives, reporting to Senior Product Development Manager, Discretionary and Alternatives.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Product Development Manager to deliver revenue growth for channels by driving end-to-end product execution, onboarding and governance—ensuring robust due diligence, strong controls, and positive customer outcomes.
  • Drive day-to-day delivery of the discretionary & alternatives product solutions and support the system enhancement roadmaps
  • Coordinate end-to-end onboarding of discretionary solutions/alternative funds across distribution channels: requirements, documentation, approvals, implementation and launch readiness
  • Support the proposition; ensuring appropriate due diligence, governance and timely escalation of issue and risks
  • Support ongoing monitoring of discretionary solutions/alternative funds and prepare periodic review packs and management information
  • Enable commercialization and channel readiness: sales materials, training coordination, operational readiness and post-launch issue management


Requirements

  • Proven experience coordinating product launches or onboarding across multiple channels, covering requirements capture, documentation, approvals, implementation, launch readiness and post-launch follow-up.
  • Product governance, due diligence & control mindset
  • Working knowledge of product due diligence and governance processes (e.g., suitability considerations, operational/ legal/ compliance inputs, approvals, issue tracking) with the discipline to escalate risks and exceptions quickly and clearly
  • Strong project coordination & stakeholder management
  • Ability to drive day-to-day delivery with multiple stakeholders (Legal, Compliance, Operation, Tech, Distribution channels) using structured plans, logs, minutes/actions, and tight deadline management
  • MI, monitoring & periodic review support
  • Experience producing monitoring packs as management information: performance and flows, risk indicators, client outcomes, issues/incidents, and action tracking
  • Commercialization & channel readiness enablement
  • Capability to prepare and coordinate go-to-market essentials: sales collateral, training sessions, FAQs/ talking points, operational readiness checks, and managing early-life support and post-launch issues
  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, or other relevant qualifications such as CFA, CFP or CFMP
