We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Marketing Manager Alternatives.
In this role you will:
Financial promotional material
- Own cross-border marketing content, partnering with investment specialists, portfolio managers, compliance and other teams to support AUM growth through strong internal and external-facing materials.
- Plan and drive the end-to-end delivery of high-quality marketing material (literature, presentations, videos and digital campaigns) for investment products and mandates, including ongoing updates and governance.
- Write and develop content by turning complex financial data into compelling, client-facing narratives.
- Work closely with investment specialists and portfolio managers to boost the visibility of key investment capabilities among clients and internal stakeholders.
- Partner with client-facing teams across the network to understand segment needs and interests, then translate these into clear, relevant messages and marketing material.
- Ensure compliance feedback is addressed promptly with proper logs maintained for audit purposes.
- Recognise and Identify gaps, process improvisation and improve SLAs.
Marketing Channel Management
- Help deliver campaigns across traditional, social and digital channels (including the website), plus events, partnerships and collateral, to boost HSBC AM’s profile with wholesale and institutional clients.
- Build strong working relationships with key internal teams (Investments, Compliance, Product Marketing, Marketing Delivery, Channel Marketing, Product Development, etc.) and external vendors to keep marketing activity running smoothly and on time.
- Support more effective, data-led marketing planning to improve efficiency and keep outcomes focused on client needs.
- Track market and competitor activity on cross-border capabilities and coordinate ad hoc market and fund updates as needed.
Marketing Operations
- Manage external partners, including creative agencies, third-party content creators, media planners, production houses, and event organisers.
- Follow agreed processes and controls to spot and reduce risks and escalate control or reputational issues quickly when needed.
- Handle project reporting to meet business needs and build reports that support better decision-making.
- Building and managing marketing internal communications, managing dashboards and other record keeping of the activities.
Leadership & Teamwork
- Expected to be a team player, flexible and confident to work across team to carry out cross functional projects.
- Support achievement of the HSBC vision, Values, goals and culture in personal behaviour, actions and decision making.
- Help agencies and partners to understand the HSBC values while developing initiatives.
- Work in a collaborative manner within marketing as well as proposition teams.
To be successful you will need:
- Post graduation in marketing or finance.
- Experience in marketing space of asset management or a similar financial services company. Experience in product marketing is compulsory.
- Understanding of the asset management industry, investment products, investment capabilities and asset classes is a must.
- Ability to work through complex process and procedures.
- A flexible and pro-active attitude with an ability to respond effectively to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Having an experience in using AI tools is preferred.
- Design oriented for build compelling slides and other marketing material keeping end user & audience in mind.
- Experience of working in a regulated industry and adhering to complex procedures/ processes.
- Experience on share point, Seismic is preferred.
- The role will need a basic level of knowledge in Digital Marketing.
- Ability to move initiatives forward in a cross-functional and matrixed operations organizational model through strong project management skills.
- A proven team player with the ability to work in teams distributed across the globe and influence across multi teams.
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with both stakeholders, partners and colleagues.
- Strong interpersonal and people management capabilities.
Others
- Strong analytical ability to support decisions with sound reasoning. Experience in problem-solving with the ability to depict complexity and support a thesis with very good presentation skills.
- Self-starter with proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and who can influence and motivate people around them.
