Private Banking RBW
Hang Seng's Private Banking provides services for people who have successfully built their asset base and now want to place their wealth in the hands of experts who know how to nurture it.
Our banking services and products are bespoke, ranging from tailored investment advice and capital solutions to holistic health and personal protection and trustee services. Our team offers professional wealth management advice at both a local level and on a global scale.
Should you join our Private Banking business, you will focus on building close relationship with our high-net-worth customers, providing professional advice and premium service to them and contribute to the profitability of the Bank.
We are currently seeking a high Caliber professional to join our department as Head of Investment Advisory, reporting to Head of Wealth Sales Distribution.
Principal responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight of the investment business and embed a robust sales culture, driven by disciplined execution, collaboration, and a strong focus on advisory quality.
- Lead the Investment Counsellor and Investment Product Specialist teams setting clear direction, strong performance management, and continuous capability development, while driving the execution of sales implementation plans and business initiatives to maximise profitability.
- Strengthen the efficiency and effectiveness of the end-to-end sales process, improving productivity, consistency, and client outcomes.
- Enhance sales quality and discipline in line with the latest regulatory requirements and HSBC standards, ensuring suitability, appropriate documentation, and effective governance.
- Manage team performance through structured coaching, regular reviews, and targeted development actions to uplift competency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- University degree in Business Administration or other relevant qualification, and preferably with relevant qualifications such as CFA, CFP or CFMP.
- Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience from financial services industry, with strong knowledge of investment products, and preferably, with 5 years gained from a team management role.
- Passes in the Hong Kong Securities Institute Licensing Examinations
- Demonstrable management experience within investment sales, with a strong track record of leading teams to deliver business outcomes.
- Strong sales and client orientation, with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to influence effectively across stakeholders.
- Proven leadership capability, with the resilience and composure to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in English and Chinese; Putonghua capability is an advantage.
- Strong sense of ownership and a service-led mindset, with a focus on maintaining efficient and effective client service processes.
