We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Head of Insurance Proposition.

In this role you will:

  • Define and champion the global vision and strategy for Insurance Proposition, ensuring alignment with the overall organizational goals
  • Develop wealth insurance strategies and business plan to support strategic priorities of the company
  • Maintain competitive wealth insurance offering and to increase wealth insurance distribution revenue and penetration in collaboration with Wealth and Global Insurance teams, aligned to WPS strategy
  • Manage to solve business problems and identify areas for improvement that would create a positive impact to customers and shareholders.
  • Responsible for maintaining Market Intelligence to understand Market trend and Competitor’s Innovation in products, services, customers journey, etc
  • Work closely with respective global & local stakeholders to deepen customer engagement, relationship and value; ensuring that the end-to-end customer journey is optimal with suitable products and services.
  • Work closely with Data & Analytics, Marketing & Customer Insights to identify effective upsell/cross-sell opportunities and develop appropriate wealth insurance propositions to grow revenue per customer
  • Work with Premier & Wealth Distribution and Sales Performance & Effectiveness teams to support multi-channel distribution (manned/online/digital) as required and to optimize the distribution model and maximize productivity and business outcome via effective training programme design
  • Drive integration of wealth insurance sales journey into wider HSBC Retail Wealth eco-system and proposition, through collaboration with senior stakeholders across different lines of business and functions, particularly in the area of mobile Wealth and digitization of wealth journeys
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of bancassurance strategies and business performance
  • Work with local markets and key stakeholders to align VSIP allocation to ensure effective use of our budget and achieve synergies as much as we can
  • Maintain effective governance and oversight for wealth insurance product development, FVE framework and sales & distribution
  • Monitor effectiveness of implementation of agreed business initiatives ensuring business objectives are being met

To be successfl you will need:

  • Deep understanding of sales and service strategies within the financial services industry, including bancassurance and insurance product management, as well as sales process optimization
  • Ability to set clear strategic direction aligned with Markets, Propositions, Channels, and Functions, and experience working across Group, Region, and Market teams
  • Broad understanding of Wealth and Premier banking, with in-depth knowledge of issues impacting the customer and marketing agenda, enabling effective communication with senior business leads
  • Familiarity with culture, supervision, and conduct frameworks, and knowledge of the global external environment, including regulatory, political, competitors, and market factors.•    Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to influence senior teams and interact at all levels of the organization
  • Deep understanding of sales and marketing principles, familiarity with culture, supervision, and conduct frameworks, and experience in positively driving culture
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently, multi-task, filter information, and prioritize multiple demands
  • Ability to navigate the matrix, drive integration opportunities, and effectively plan and manage projects
