Established in 1993, Hang Seng Investment Management Limited ("Hang Seng Investment") is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hang Seng Bank Limited, and is Hong Kong No.1 exchange-traded fund ("ETF") manager in terms of assets under management. We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Head of Equities and Multi-Assets.

 

Principal Responsibilities

  • Lead the Equities team and provide strategic oversight for implementing fundamental equities and multi-asset investment strategies, ensuring integrated investment management across equities, fixed income, and other asset classes to deliver competitive risk-adjusted performance against relevant benchmarks and peer groups.
  • Conduct top-down macroeconomic analysis and bottom-up fundamental research to identify investment opportunities in global prospective, with emphasis in Greater China/Asian equities; generate actionable investment recommendations and stock-picking ideas (including factor analysis and screening).  
  • Oversee and proactively contribute to the full investment process, ensuring smooth & cohesive execution, high-quality research coverage, idea generation/sharing, team meetings collaboration, top-down asset allocation, and multi-asset inputs across strategies.  
  • Drive overall business and AUM growth through close collaboration with Sales, Product Specialist, and other relevant teams; provide proactive engagement, regular investment strategy updates, market specific and multi-asset strategy insights to support distribution and client servicing efforts.  
  • Coach, mentor, and motivate team members; foster strong teamwork, efficiency, proactivity, responsibility, and excellent communication/presentation skills, including in a multi-asset context.  
  • Adhere to stringent monitoring procedures, highest standards of compliance, risk management, and regulatory requirements.  

Requirements

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline; CFA designation preferable.  
  • Extensive senior-level experience (preferably >15 years) in investment management, with proven track record in leading equities/multi-assets teams, managing HK/China/Asian equity strategies, and overseeing or managing multi-asset strategies with competitive performance.  
  • Above-median/benchmark-beating performance in actively managed retail and/or institutional equity strategies, as well as multi-asset/funds-of-funds/asset allocation strategies.  
  • Strong leadership experience in mentoring junior team members, building high-performing teams, and integrating equities with broader multi-asset frameworks.  
  • Deep expertise in top-down macro analysis, bottom-up fundamental research, multi-asset allocation, quantitative approaches, alpha/beta & factor investing, and Greater China/Asian markets across asset classes.  
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders (Sales/Product) and external stakeholders on equity and multi-asset topics.  
  • Good understanding of investment compliance, risk management (including portfolio-level and cross-asset risks), and regulatory standards.  
  • Strong team working attitude with great sense of ownership and servicing mindset
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Mandarin; self-motivated, able to work under pressure with strong sense of ownership and team-oriented mindset.
