This business is uniquely positioned to help clients make payments across borders, currencies and regulations, quickly and efficiently with dedicated in-country and regional support. We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Head of Corporate Servicing  ASP Client Service, Global Payment Solutions.

 

The job holder is functionally responsible for supporting Corporate Banking clients with GPS solutions across Asia.  The job holder should be aware of opportunities that arise from client engagement and market developments, and capable of independent, creative and analytical thought to retain business and to pursue new opportunities to generate core GPS revenue.

 

Together with the Regional Head of GPS Service & Account Management, developing appropriate strategies for Client Service & Account Management and focusing team direction to drive the business forward, are integral to the role. The job holder has authority in the planning and management within the function, while maintaining a collaborative working relationship with Coverage, Partners and Risk Stewards.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Build and sustain a world-leading, technology-enabled, globally connected payments franchise, by providing insightful solutions to our clients, supporting their needs, achieving efficiency and growth objectives, as well as unlocking the potential of HSBC’s network for our international clients.
  • Support the overall client service & account management strategy for Asia including strategic change and transformation for Global Payment Solutions (GPS) including, planning and needs gathering, industry benchmarking, working with Product, Operations and Technology to deliver solutions to improve client experience for key clients.
  • Drive a client-centric mindset to enhance seamless engagement and end-to-end delivery effectiveness along with GPS Sales, Implementation and Integration, and Product teams.
  • Collaborate with Coverage Teams, Country and Global Client Services, and other Products to retain profitable client relationships.
  • Enhance HSBC’s profile and market position in the country through planning and execution of Thought Leadership initiatives, Client Focus Groups, Roadshows and other internal and external events.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients across all segments.

 

Principal Accountabilities

 

  • Drive a client-centric mindset to enhance seamless engagement and end-to-end delivery effectiveness
  • Grow and retain core GPS revenue through collaborative client engagement
  • Establish strong relationships with strategic clients and key stakeholders including GSC Team, Coverage Teams, Regional and Global Client Services as well as business partners (where applicable)
  • Collaborate with customers to support and grow their businesses, actively engage industry stakeholders and regulators (if required) and enhance HSBC’s market position in the country.
  • Attract, develop and retain talent and expertise within the Client Service and Account Management Team
  • Manage risks impacting GPS solutions and maintain a robust Business Contingency process to reduce impact of major incidents in delivery of our solutions.

 

Requirements

  • Degree holder at minimum
  • Significant years experience working with Corporates in a relationship/account management, client experience and transformation role.
  • Strong process orientation, familiar with technologies like AI, RPA and comfortable working closely with Technology teams.
  • Specific experience with large multi-national corporations or financial institutions including Regional/Global HQ and Regional Treasury names.
  • Knowledge of industry standards related to Cash Management products and services. 
  • Good level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues.
  • Proven ability to deliver creative and flexible customer solutions.
  • Ability to understand a customer’s business and the fundamentals of running a business
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong range of communication skills, including written, verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations
  • Excellent time management, planning and organization skills
  • The following professional certifications will put you at an advantage: International Cash Management (Cert ICM), Lean Six Sigma, SWIFT Certified etc…

 

Desirable

  • Experience of working with Corporate and Institutional Banking clients and environments.
  • Broad based knowledge of HSBC and Group companies.
  • Bachelors degree in business, related field or equivalent work experience.
