We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Finance Governance and Organisation Senior Manager; Global Insurance.

 

In this role you will: 

  • Oversees, reviews, and challenges entity governance processes to ensure adherence to appropriate Group and Business standards.
  • Responsible for overseeing the end-to-end governance framework and standards (incl. structure, ToR, MI requirements), including responsible for 1LoD review of Insurance Finance Governance materials across committees to improve quality of materials and effectiveness / efficiency of meetings.
  • Produce global Insurance governance materials, including content for key forums such as the Group Insurance Finance Management Meeting (GIFMM), ensuring outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned to strategic priorities. Monitor, track, and facilitate post-meeting actions, ensuring decisions are translated into clear deliverables, owners are assigned, and progress is followed through to completion.
  • Act as the GIFMM secretary, coordinating the end-to-end organisation of the meeting (agenda planning, paper flow, logistics, minutes/actions), and liaising effectively with Markets and Group stakeholders to ensure strong engagement and alignment.
  • Support strategic communications with Group and key stakeholders, including 1LoD review and challenge of outputs and materials (for example forecasts, actuals, and scenario analysis) to ensure messages are consistent and well-governed.
  • Works directly with the Head of Insurance Finance Governance and Organisation, Global Insurance CFO and relevant Group teams to assess any group-wide organisational changes impacting the function, and drives required initiatives from both a financial and people perspective.
  • Support the Head of Insurance Finance Governance and Organisation, and the Global Insurance CFO to drive and manage the Function across various activities including business management, communication and people initiatives.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely cost reporting, forecasting, and budgeting process including headcount and position management. Identify and progress cost levers to ensure Financial Resource Planning targets are met.
  • Develop, maintain and execute a structured communications plan for the function, including regular town hall organisations, leadership briefings, and announcements relating to organisational changes (as required), ensuring communications are clear, inclusive, and aligned to strategic direction.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Innovation to advance the Insurance Finance & Actuarial AI culture agenda. And integrate innovation and AI enablement into people communications and development activities, ensuring the agenda is embedded into the function’s operating model, engagement approach, and capability-building priorities.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and a growth mindset, actively engaging in the company’s AI journey and committing to ongoing learning and development to keep skills current and impactful.

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines with multiple, important priorities.
  • Ability to effectively influence key stakeholders and establish credibility with senior management through constructive challenging and substantiating views with solid evidence / rationale.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to work effectively across geographies and matrix reporting lines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field and/or accountancy qualification preferred.
  • Finance, operations and governance experience (i.e. strong understanding of governance, cost management, forecasting, budgeting, people management processes, change management).
  • Highly motivated and proactive, with strong diligence and collaboration skills; able to work independently, apply sound judgement, and deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.
  • ­Excellent written and oral communication skills (particularly English) including ability to articulate requirements in a way that makes sense to businesses/functions and Finance (where required).
  • Industry experience in Financial Services preferred, preferably life insurance and banking.
  • Proven track record of producing high-standard deliverables, including experience working effectively with globally dispersed teams and stakeholders.
